Saturday night walked in around 9pm and able to get a table for 2 which was great. It was quite loud with a hen party at a large table in the middle of the room. Initially service was a bit slow - after being seated we waited to long to be given menus that I eventually got up and asked for them at the bar. We had the special bento and the sushi bento box each. The food was all absolutely delicious although some of the sushi we got had mayonnaise on it which I thought was a bit odd. Total for 2 special bento and 1 sushi bento, a cocktail, a glass of wine and a beer was €72 and we were full. Would go again for sure.

Myself and my partner visited here for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. I've always wanted to try it but got lured away by another restaurant close by! I got a sushi platter and my parent has a fish bento. The sushi platter was really good, I have had better but I would def rate it up there. My partner thought the bento was nice but lacked a bit, he has definitely had better in other dublin japanese restaurants. It was 5.20 in the day and I believe we still got lunch prices which was good. However We ordered 2 glasses of house wine, at 7.50 a glass I thought this was a bit on the steep side for a house wine!

I came in here with my daughter who wanted to try sushi 2 sats ago. Place was nearly empty yet had to wait awhile to be served. It was 5:20 so we missed the lunch deals which ended at 5pm. I asked for cutlery for my daughter. then ordered the sushi bento platter with coffee and coke. Coffee was cold, and drinks served up about 15 mins before we got sushi. There was no sauces served with sushi, and no cutlery served. I had to go and get cutlery myself, and also had to ask for side plates for platter. Food was terrible, service a joke, they were more interested in chatting at the bar.. will never go back there, and the pity is now my daughter will probably not try sushi again !!!

When entering Ukiyo even though it looked cosy it struck as as a bar rather than a restaurant and that feeling persisted throughout the meal. The wooden tables are nice but a bit close together for our taste (it was difficult to pass them to sit down on the other side of the table). The service was effective but could have been a bit more welcoming/warm. The food was delicious, sushi/fish was very fresh. The portions are too small for the prices charged though. The Bento Boxes we ordered were almost twice the price of what we have paid in other places and did not even come with rice.

i was in this place a few weeks ago on sunday afternoon to try their luch time bento box, while the place looks the part & the service is of a reasonable standard. the food on the other was not to my liking at all it was some sort salted & fried mackeral with a drab side salad with tasteless sushi & brown rice. i will be sticking to another sushi place that serve's much better bento box's in a better atmosphere.

Our bento boxes were much better than I have gotten in other similar restaurants, very tasty and nice combinations. The service was good and we had a lot of fun with the karaoke after.

This place is so inconsistent Usually get the Lunch Bento box which is good value but is co hit and miss. I have been blown away on days and seriously underwhelmed on others. It's such a shame because I would be unwilling to risk it on the chance it will be a bad day.

I eat here regularly occasionally for lunch their bento box daily offer is great value. on this occasion was delicious chicken stir fry, smoked salmon sushi rolls and vegetable gyoza. the salad that comes with it is kind of pointless as it never comes dressed and I realized after I left they neglected to give me the rice that comes as part of the box. but its defo kind of place that warrants repeat custom

It was fairly busy for a Wednesday evening and good atmosphere as there was a large group of Trinitiy singing in the karaoke rooms-We couldn't hear them from the restaurant though;-). I was a tad disappointed with the seabream but my friend was absolutely delighted with her tuna loin-deffo recommanded! There was no side and we thought at 20€ a main,it was a bit of a scam to have to order a side.We asked for noodles-as there was none on the menu-and they were aboslutely gorgeous:why don't they put it as a side instead of pak choi and so on?!?

I haven't eaten much Japanese food in the past but my 2 friends who were with me last night have done. I am now a total convert having eaten here last night. The food is amazing and both my friends agree. We ordered a good selection of starters and sushi dishes to share, including prawn tempura, haddock tempura, tuna carpaccio, hake & prawn dumplings, california roll, ninja roll & nigiri sushi. Every single dish was fantastic, the freshness of the fish was excellent and the flavours sooooo good! The tuna carpaccio was literally melt in the mouth good! I cannot fault the quality of the food here. The only downside and it is a very small downside, is that it's not that cheap. The wine is a bit overpriced and a couple of the sushi dishes are a small bit pricey. Having said that, it is well worth a visit. The staff are really friendly and helpful also! Definitely check this place out folks!

This was great. We used a menupages voucher for a free main course and a free hours kareoke. I had the pork which was delicious and she had the dish that lets you sample everything. The staff were lovely and we had a blast at the kareoke. A great night.
