Located at 64A South William Street this beautiful and solely candle lit wine cavern has been stripped back to its original features. Wine educated staff are on hand to help you choose your bottle from the shelf while sampling the different types of pintxos and tapas. Commenting on the opening, director, Lee Sim of The Porterhouse Group said, “We want to create something different in Dublin, a traditional Spanish tapas bar where one can relax, have a glass of wine and some pintxos without having a full three course meal. It will be your typical Spanish tapas bar with varied pintxos displays, but in true Spanish style, will have a limited table service.”
The Port House wine list is wide, varied and full of interesting wines, ports and sherries at a very reasonable price.

My fave tapas place. Dark/romantic setting. Gorgeous prawn pil pil, croquettes, padron peppers and meatballs. Nice wine list. Service could be more attentive and enthusiastic. Food gorgeous.

Always a good spot for a glass of wine and some tapas, the patata bravas and the mushroom on toast pinxtos are divine and I would highly recommend eating here should you be in the mood for some nibbles or more!

What more can I say. You have to queue to be served and this is an accepted fact when you get to visit such a little gem. We keep coming back and this says everything.

Nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Some of the food is really good (meatballs in particular), some is fairly average but it's reasonable and they have a good selection. Drinks are pricey though. Food was served quickly but we were waiting a while whenever we ordered drinks, however it was very busy when we were there. Staff are very friendly.

Usually love the restaurant but they had a bad night tonight. Not enough staff, slow service and food not up to usual standard. Will go back but better during the week

I love the Port House for Tapas! The atmosphere is excellent and the staff are very attentive. There were four of us and got about 15 tapas, tasting port, and 2 bottles of wine for 160e which Is excellent value. The only thing I would say, is if you're in a rush this isn't the place for you as you will have to wait for a table but it's definitely worth the wait!

Really excellent choice of dishes on the menu, and works out really affordable. Highlights include the grilled asparagus and the confit duck! So good. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly.
