Tried to book here on menupages but received an email telling me that it was declined. Rang the pub and organised to dine here @5pm on a Saturday evening. 11 of us arrived and our drink orders were taken and then ALL our course orders (Starters, Main & Dessert) and not a pen or paper in sight. The starters arrived but one person was left out and after sitting for a considerable time, she decided to go downstairs and wait at the bar until her starter was given to her. The mains started arriving and 3 people were left out. In fact the remainder of the group had finished their mains and these 3 people had still not been served! Our server told us that their orders had been given to other diners by mistake! It was such a pity that the service let them down so badly as the food was delicious and very reasonable. I had the chicken curry which came with rice and side portion of chips between 2 people and it was lovely but portions were far too big. So big in fact that I was unable to order my favourite course, dessert, which as it turned out was a good thing as they only had 1 option left. The menu is far more extensive that is on here so go to their facebook page to see full menu. Our server was very apologetic for the service problems. I would go back and hope that service has improved because the food would be worth it.

Dropped in on my own while on my way to busaras on friday evening looking for a pint and a bite to eat. The place seemed very busy but I was served immediately upon approaching the bar. My food order was taken equally promptly, which surprised me considering how busy the place was. Both the gent behind the bar and the lady who took my order were really polite and attentive. My meal (chicken curry half and half- classy lad me) arrived swiftly and was a real pleasant surprise (the guinness was spot on also). Nice atmosphere and a unique spin on the traditional irish pub decor too. All in all, great food, drink and really friendly, professional, attentive staff. Top marks guys.

We stopped here with two friends before a concert to have a quick drink and a bite. Only one of us ended up ordering food but the steak sandwich that was served was big enough to feed the three of us, there was a lovely fresh salad with it, plenty of onions and mushrooms and a generous portion of chips. The food was bar food, as expected but very good at that and value for money. Service was friendly and quick. Will most likely pop in here again some if need a quick dinner of an evening.

went for food here with group we sat out in garden area because there wasnt enough room inside. we ordered inside with barman and had no sooner sat down when a different member of staff came out and demanded immediate payment. we said we would pay aftrewards but he was adamant that we had to pay first 'because we were outside'. very annoying and not satisfactory at all. fish and chips were below average and the payment issue left bad taste in the mouth anyway. wont bother returning for food anyway although bar itself seemed okay and had decent atmosphere

Went to a friend's engagement party. Good irish pub atmosphere and nice staff. We had food plate with chicken wings, bacon, chips etc. Nice taste but really unhealthy as all the other pub food plate. Wish they had some healthy option with the drinks. Liked hanging out with friends there. Will definitely go back.

Had dinner here last night. The place was packed when we arrived...great atmosphere. Found a spot for ourselves after hovering for a few minutes and then a waitress brought us menus. Nice choice. We ordered after a few minutes. I asked if they could make a vegetarian version of their chicken enchiladas and this was not a problem. Food arrived very quickly and the portions were huge! Everything was excellent. My friends all enjoyed theirs including the catch of the day, lasagne and chicken goujons all serve with lovely chunky chips and nice little salad. Each dish cost €10 or less including the chips which is excellent value. All this along with a few pints was perfect for a Friday evening. Staff were really friendly and there was a great buzz about the place. Highly recommended for really good pub grub.

I went here yesterday for a quick bite before the cinema (The Screen, which is perfect distance from it). I ordered the veggie omlette which came with chips and salad. It was really tasty, massive portion and all for 9 euro something. The chips were really nice and chunky, service was friendly. My friend for a toastie which also came with chips and salad which she enjoyed too. It's a great place for some better than usual pub grub at a good price. Would go again.

Excellent value for money, tasty food. A group of us visited The Longstone and ate a variety of meals. All of them were very good for pub food. I had a huge plate full of chicken and vegetable stirfry, moist chicken, crisp vegetables, fluffy rice and morish black bean sause. The hamburger was well cooked with a side salad and fresh chips. Made to order omlettes were a healthy choice. Food is delivered quickly, so would make an ideal lunch break. Staff friendly. Beer garden looks like a nice place for the summer months.

I ate here a while back with a friend. We had a great time and I'm glad to be the first review this place gets because we had a great meal. I had a stir fry and I must say for Pub grub that doesn't venture down the snooty road of "gastro" it was of the highest standard. Really tasty. Also I've always loved the atmosphere in here for an after work pint. Now I know what a little gem of a kitchen they have I'll surely be back soon to try what else is on offer.
