I was here last night ( 22nd march) for a hens night. There was about 24 of us. My starter was chicken wings they were ok nothing to complain about but nothing to compliment either. My main course arrived which was a Cajun chicken breast with mash, pesto and a tomato. I was disgusted. The chicken breast was incredibly dry and stringy, It was simply inedible. The mash was dry and grey in colour, it was not one bit fresh. The only thing I ate was the half tomato. The waitress cleared the table and never said one word to me and clearly my dish was untouched!! My desert was profiteroles there was a speckle of chocolate sauce on them, they are very mean with their chocolate sauce. I didn't eat my desert either, I was so angry about how someone could serve paying customers this awful food. I would not even serve it to family or friends at home, It was fit for the bin. Over all it was a dreadful meal. So realistically it cost 27.50 euros for about 6 chicken wings. I didn't kick up a fuss because I didn't want to disrupt the party or worry the bride to be after all it was her night. One more thing I have to let people know of is that the hens party was upstairs and we had to go downstairs and get our owns drinks and bring them up to the table each time. Not once did a staff member take orders for drinks. I felt like we were not catered for at all. I will never recommend this place.

Was going to the gaiety to see a panto and ended up eating in break for the border before the show. We were the only customers in the place so zero atmosphere. The menu available was quite small but reasonably priced. We recieved very prompt service and ordered straight away, chicken wings to share for starters big portion and delicious, I had the burger it was fresh and homemade, came with chesse bacon mushrooms, chips and salad Was lovely, My partner had fajitas came as a big portion also and also very nice. Our daughter had sausage and chips very nice and big portion, our bill came to €56 this included 2 glasses of wine and 4 soft drinks, I consider this excellent value for this area, food was fresh, hot and tasty and staff were very nice

I went here with my boyfriend for the June Bank Holiday and I can't say we will ever go back. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant the whole evening and the service was awful. At one stage a waiter decided to set up all the tables for the next day and proceeded to bash cups and saucers for at least 20 min around us. The waiter who was originally serving us seemed to forget about us and we were left sitting there for 30min after our meal. We weren't asked if we wanted deserts and had to wait for someone to come upstairs to ask for the bill. Even then, we had to go down to the bar and even in behind the bar to use their card machine. The food was nice, no complaints about that.

Perfect spot for a bite to eat after work, especially due to it’s central location and also the nice lively atmosphere that can be found. I ordered the Mexican Bruschetta to start and then I had the Cajun Breast of Chicken for my mains. The chicken was absolutely delicious, my one complaint was that the side salad that accompanied it was a bit poor and perhaps could have contained a bit more variety other than lettuce and tomatoes. My other half ordered the wings for starter and one of the burgers for the mains. The chips were good and chunky, so filling he couldn’t finish them all! If you go here I’d definitely recommend the Cola Cubed cocktails………perfect to wash down an enjoyable meal!

My husband and I used our living social deal vouchers at break for the border recently and it was fantastic, I had concerns that we wouldn't be able to use our vouchers so I emailed ahead and received an email the next day telling me they have no problems with the vouchers and that they'd have a table waiting for us. We had a wonderful time, the food was amazing especially the Tiger prawn starter, it was amazing!!!! the Staff were wonderful, and we had a great night. one little thing the burrito was a bit dry but that's the only complaint. Cant wait to go back again!!!

My partner and I visited Break for the Border as LivingSocial deal customers. I love the way its all done out in little areas which are very romantic. And it was very romantic - until they decided to move all the furniture about - right in the middle of our meal - and right beside us. It was a nightmare. Seems they had a group coming in and wanted them all seated together. They could have done this in another area as they moved all the seating up from there. The food was delicious. It was plentiful and cooked to perfection. Served with some very nice wine and by a very good waitress, it really hit the spot. We would go back again for sure.

Went on Friday 7/1/11 with my fiancé. The chicken wings which we had to start were plentiful and very tasty. I had steak and he had a chicken dish both of which were cooked to perfection. The waitress suggested we try the chocolate and ice cream tortilla for dessert and it did not disappoint. The bill was a very respectable €41 (we had already gotten drinks in the bar when we came in which we were allowed bring into the restaurant) The place is clean, all the staff we encountered were very friendly and with a restaurant/bar/club all under one roof, we will be definitely be going again.

There wasn't much of an atmosphere here last Sunday evening with the exception for 3 crazy Algerian going mental at their team making it to the semi-finals of the African Cup. The menu? You could probably guess it all the moment you step in- and even before walking in I reckon. The food was not bad but at euro 13.00 for a burger with chips, there many other unhealthy better choices in the city.

food and service here is great! the staff are really helpful and friendly and the food is so so good. they have a really good range of stuff and their chicken burgers and steak subs are amazing! chips are really good too as are their platters. i love the way you can get pitchers here too for €12, such a bargain. defo worth popping in for a bite to eat. it's also great for sport as there as a large number of tvs so no matter where you sit you get a good view of a screen.

There is nothing better than some delicious spicy chicken wings and mouthwatering ribs on a sunday afternoon. Break FTB is a sports bar/restaurant in the afternoon/evening and a nightclub at night. The portions were massive, the food was just perfect and the service was good (i like their uniforms) :) If you want to watch a match, play snooker and have messy tex mex food I definitely recommend this place.

Agreed not the type of place for romantic meal. the place is quite noisy for a cosy chat, and crowded when we were there at weekend evening. they serve Mexican/American food and it was only so-so.The portion was rather small for the price they charge. wouldn't be back in hurry.

This isnt really the place for a romantic dinner for two but its great if there is a big group. There is such a party atmosphere and the food is quite good. I had the chicken fajitas which were very tasty.
