I would not normally complain or leave reviews, but had such a bad experience in here that I just have to comment. I was in for a quick lunch on Saturday. We ordered two sandwiches, both of which were quite tasty. I also had a coffee, and it was grand but certainly nothing out of the ordinary for around Dublin. However, the service was the most unpleasant I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. In addition to our sandwiches and coffee, we also got a bag of fancy crisps to share. When we tasted them we both thought they were stale and so went back up to the counter where they were changed without any problem. But then a minute later a member of staff came over and stood at our table demanding to know if we were the ones with problem about the crisps. She stood with her hands on her hips and told us they were not stale because they were still in date. When we told her the crisps were soft she went back behind the counter and came back with one crisp which she held out and snapped in front of us, declaring that the crisps were fine. She then wiped her hands and took the replacement bag back, and left. She did all this in a highly rude manner, which was aggressive and condescending. All of this turned a non-issue into something which means I will never darken the door of either the two Bald Barista places again!

I would just like to say i have never complained online about any restaurant or coffee shop before but i have NEVER in my life been spoken to so appallingly as i was spoken to be the owner of the Bald Barista. I was waiting quietly and the shop was not busy for 15 mins whilst i previously stated when i arrived i was waiting for someone. He demanded to know where they were how long they would take and barked that i was taking up the best seat in the house. He approached me twice to do so. I felt humiliated be the whole experience and when i went to complain his response was absolutely shocking. Nothing short of a petty bully. Unless you want to be potentially humiliated and degraded by the owner i would stay clear of the Bald Barista. I really don't care what their coffee is like there is absolutely no excuse for bad manners.

I went here for a coffee as it seems quite a popular spot. Whilst waiting I observed the owner giving out to a staff member at the front of house. I thought this quite out of place. Latte art dose not equal a good coffee. Espresso here is ok, certainly not wonderful. Will not be back as there is better coffee for better prices in the area.

Have to agree with Petrus. Sunday brunch is something I wouldn't do very often so feel doubly disappointed to have such a bad meal. The worst part is that no one seemed to care. Whoever owns that joint should seriously review his staff hiring skills. A "The customer is king" plaque should be put up somewhere for all the staff to see - what's with the questioning a customer's complaint? The food was terrible and it didn't seem to bother anyone working there that our table had MULTIPLE complaints and from people who wouldn't normally complain... anyway I certainly won't be going back there even though the coffee is lovely.

Had a coffee and a quick bite here for lunch. Great little spot. I enjoyed my sandwich and the place had a great buzz about it.

Great place to go for a coffee and a muffin. It has pretty small seating space and gets backed quickly however.

A nice place to go for a relaxed cup of coffee. Food is ok, and a good selection. Not the nicest setting but not bad overall.

The Bald Barista is quirky and cool - it's not part of a chain, and it shows...who cares about a little inconsistency when you can have individuality?!

I've been to the Bald Barista a number of times now. The coffee is consistently great. However, the one time I did order a bagel with bacon and cream cheese, it was rock hard. Great for coffee but won't be eating there again.

Grabbed a cappuccino here yesterday, after hearing the rave reviews. It was lucky I wasn't eating in as the place was packed! There seems to be a bustling energy about this place that makes you want to be there! The trendy decor and quirky orange shopfront probably adds to this reason. Coffee was tasty and came with a cool decoration motif on top. Only complaint is value for money..I think 3euro is a little pricey for a regular sized take-out drink!

The best coffee shop in Ireland!! Coffee is made with love and attention to detail. Every time we've been there, the decoration on top of the lattes is different(go there and you'll know what I'm talking about). The food is fantastic and the salad is to die for. A panini and side salad only costs €8 and would happily pay this for the salad alone, as it's the freshest, most tastiest salad in town. Buzz, the bald barista, is always there and makes a effort to greet you every time. What a great, friendly happy place with great food and coffees.

The coffee is really good and I would go back because of this. Paninis and ciabattas are pre-made and when we asked the waitress to request one small change to the panini, we were politely refused. Salad which comes as a side with paninis was really nice and some effort went into its preparation, not like many other coffee shops. Service was good. Overall, its a well needed good coffee shop!

The Jury is still out on this one. Went here yesterday for Coffee and a bagel. The coffee was nice but you would need a decent quality "jack hammer" to break into the bagel, it was so hard. I will give it another try, thank god my teeth are my own.!!!

Just found this place recently, and have been for both breakfast and lunch. Both experiences were excellent - very good food - particularly the cous cous salad - good varied menu, pleasant staff & nice cosy setting
