brought my folks here for lunch today and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Both my parents could not stop saying how nice the food was and the service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Will definitely be back!

I had lunch at the Bakehouse Express in the CHQ building and thought it was very good. I had the baked potatoe and bacon - which came with a lovely fresh salad and a number of dressings. recommend for a cold winters day!

Went there for brunch. Very big menu, so many options, it was difficult to choose. Ended up going for the stew which came with freshly baked breadrolls. Very tasty. My friends fishpie and seafood chowder were also delicious. all dishes were 10 euro or less. Good value. Would be going back someday, although the place is not too cozy, more like a canteen.

The Bakehouse does one of the best brunches in Dublin. It was open at 10am the day I was there (the opening hours above say midday), and I'd a fantastic bacon & egg sandwich (fresh bread, bacon was crisp, eggs were running, and tasty relish - finger licking good!). Service was friendly. I've never eaten here in the evening, but am looking forward it soon.

I came here for brunch last Saturday with my boyfriend and, as always, I had a lovely experience there. My boyfriend got the sausage sandwich & americano, while I got the pancakes with bacon and OJ. The pancakes came with banana, maple syrup and blackcurrants which was like an explosion of tastes in your mouth, I've never had such chunky/delicious cinnamon tasting pancakes in my life and the bacon was crispy just the way I like it. The Air Con was on full blast so you couldn't get the overpowering smell of frying from the kitchen which is great because the smell of fry always sticks to your clothes & follows you around all day. We were also consistently served with a smile. This was my 2nd visit and I will definitely be going back again.

A lovely sunny day so stopped by with a friend for coffee and cake. We got a table outside in the sun. They have their food menu on paper place mats on table but not their cake so you have to go inside to check. It's mostly what they call muffins, but really in fact cupcakes. So I went inside and placed my order and we had a few minutes wait. Then one waitress came out to see what type of coffee we wanted. (strong black with hot milk mixed in so basically 2 strong white coffees). No not latte, or or any other fancy chocolate topped creations. While waiting, we got brought someones else's coffee, someones lunch, and someones milk while our coffee went to one table and our "cupcakes" to another. The place is not that big but they seriously don't seem to be able to keep track of the orders. While we sat there the same thing happened a few more times to both us and other tables. A bit of entertainment I guess. I had ordered a glass of water twice and the bill twice and I got the water on the third time of asking when bill arrived. I'm glad I did not order anything that took much time or effort.

Ate here with my boyfriend last Thursday night. Food was good although heavy. I had fancied something lighter but didn't check the menu before sitting down. . Everything served with a side of potatoes and bread bakehouse style. I had the mushroom vegetarian option, my boyfriend the burger, I enjoyed mine, he loved his burger, one of the best he has eaten. We had a bottle of wine too and shared a chocolate cake which disappointly was a little dry. Food was good overall , i would return but most likely in winter and when i was starving!!!!!! Lots of hearty options on the menu.Service was friendly and chatty.

We went here with a deal voucher. It consisted of 2 x starters, 2 x mains and 2 x glasses of wine. The service was impeccable and our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive at all times. My only gripe and one I don't understand is we were moved from the back of the restaurant to the front. I was in the bathroom at the time and my BF said he wasn't really offered a reason. The starter consisted of a cheese and meat platter for 2. It was OK, the chutneys were nice but my guess is it was really just a platter for one made out as if for 2 as there wasn't really a whole lot to it. There also could have been more choice of cheeses - something a little more exotic than the usual brie and Dubliner cheese, rather disappointing. The wine we were offered with our meal was enjoyable and better than other house wines restaurants offer. We got to choose out main course, the menu is small and fish dishes are limited to one so i went with the Salmon which was well cooked and nice. I asked for no peas as these are something I don't like so the chef gave me a veggie selection instead which disappointingly included peas (I hate when a restaurant doesn't listen). My partner got the burger which he enjoyed. We had another glass of wine and too stuffed for dessert we opted to bring some of their home-made muffins home which were delicious the next day. One other thing that really falls down is the cramped space. The tables are small and there isn't much room for manoeuvring around them. I found myself being bumped into quite a lot. All in all it was enjoyable, as it was a deal voucher it offered good value for money. Had I have ordered A la Carte I would have been disappointed. I think I would return for lunch but for dinner it feels a little bit too much like a cafe.

I was excited to come here, but to be honest found it lacking. The service was'nt great at all. There was zero atmoshphere and the decor looks completely unfinished. They have alot left to do here. They are going for the 'kitchsy' look but not pulling it off at all. The food was OK, just OK.Nothing special and I don't think I will be back...sorry bakehouse...
