This is one place you're better off passing by, food grossly overpriced and pretty poor. €2.95 for a mineral and €3.95 for very very poor garlic bread. Don't be fooled by their 2 courses for €10, not everything on the menu is included but this is not clear! Avoid at all costs.

Very disappointed with our recent visit . Ordered salmon and chips /salad received frozen deep fried chips and the smallest piece of salmon and stale salad .Asked for a vodka and diet 7up received no vodka in the glass which was also warm had to ask for this again for the correct drink. Waitress asked would we like dessert we said we would have a look , never received the menu , had to ask again for it . We decided not to order as all desserts are pre made and frozen. I used the bathroom while there and was sorry I did , it was not clean and very Un kept and dated ,have seen better in a fast food resturant .Will not be returning .

Went in for the lunch special. The food (garlic bread and chicken pasta) was ok nothing special. There was very little chicken and veg in it. My friend had a veg panini which she said wasn't nice at all and full of onions. Wouldn't go back again.

The food was good and if you want a huge variety of Pasta then is good but would not say as good as some as the other Italian Restaurants. The price is very good but if its Service you are after forget about. The Waiting staff either do not care or are not stained and the head of house is worse and almost to the point of being rude and arrogant. We didn't even get a Drinks menu until we asked, they wanted to take our order while we were all clearly still talking and not ready yet they started to take it anyway. We asked for water and one person got a glass. We asked for a jug of water and we got a jug and one glass so we had to ask for the number of glasses we needed. The chicken wing starter was lovely but came with nothing to clean your hands with and we had to ask them to bring extra napkins. So it you want nice cheap Italian food then fine, but don't expect anything else for your money. Think of it as a Ryanair Flight.

Good value for money if you want a quick lunch or dinner or quick bite after drinks. 10 euro for pasta or pizza and they taste good. A bit tacky interior and not so smiley servers so not a great place for a romantic dinner but for a quick, cheap meal in town this is one of the places to go

Nice little spot for a quick and simple bite to eat - staff are friendly. Food isn't bad either. Good location.

South Street used to be a regular eaterie for me and my partner, but we stopped going here many years ago. So when this venue was suggested by one of my friends for a Sunday afternoon meet I was curious what it would be like. I arrived at three and found myself to be the only person in the restaurant until I was joined by my two companions. We started with a nice peroni and after faffing about for a bit we settled on the food and a bottle of the house red which was well drinkable and good value at €19. We all had the lunch deal; salads and a pizza which came in around €11 or so a head. The salads were pretty run of the mill and nothing to write home about, while the pizza’s were large and reasonably tasty but with too much cheese - some might like that but I don’t. The restaurant itself didn’t give off any particularly welcoming vibe and the staff while not unfriendly didn’t appear to be overly excited about being there. That said one of my companions engaged a server in conversation and she did finally seem to be able to smile and display a degree of warmth which was pleasant. Overall I would say the food is decent value for money, but the restaurant lacks ambiance and the staff could be a little more engaging. My experience says that you can find a better pizza joint in the area for similar money.

Went here late on a Saturday night because it was quiet and there was no wait. I felt it was a bit dull and lifeless inside, there wasn't much atmosphere to speak of. The service wasn't up to much either, They didn't seem to care too much about their jobs or the place for that matter. The food itself was OK, nothing special but nothing to write home about either, very forgettable. The food was good value but the beverages weren't. Overall this place has nothing special to it and is therefore very forgettable.

This is still one of the best value for money Italians in town. The fact that it has stood the test of time shows how popular is is. I went there for a quick bite before meeting people later. I had the penne gorgonzola and my husband had the pizza margarita with ham both delicious I wouldnt normally order a pizza in a restaurant but I may be ordering one from here I tried some and it was one of the best restaurant pizza's ever. Service was fast and friendly and two mains for €20 ideal, will be back

I love South Street! The food is amazing and the price is suitable for anyone! The lunch option is fantastic with a starter and main course for 9.99. I go here a lot and the staff are friendly and recently when I haven't been able to finish my main course, the staff ask if you want it wrapped up to take home for later! So affordable and so tasty and the staff are friendly and the restaurant in general has a nice vibe. One of the best in Dublin and great vegetarian options available!

This place is a hidden gem. It's quite a competitive part of the city but I don't think it'll be beaten on value. It's not the most standout-ish place in Dublin, you could easily walk past hit without noticing it. Staff were efficient and the our large group was served very promptly. It was a very large and very tasty portion. It's a wide ranging menu that's bound to please almost everybody. I left full and content that I'd found a bargain. I'll definitely be back there again.

I've passed this place on Georges st many times but never thought to go in, until it was suggested. I was glad to try a new place. And they had an offer on of any pizza/pasta for €10 which was great value as this was late on Sunday so many early bird offers were over. I got the tagliatelle pasta salmon which had a creamy sauce and fried with aubergine and leeks. Not much veg in it or it was cut up very small. But it was so tasty, I think it must have been smoked salmon because it had that beautiful strong taste. It was a massive portion but I ate every single bit of it as it was so good. The others got penne pasta with pan fried beef which was raved about. And a calzone was also ordered, which was deemed lovely and scoffed down. It was quiet that evening but its nice and cosy and comfortable inside. The waitress was always present but never over bearing. I was amazed by how good it was. I did have a pasta come down a few hours later by the amount I ate but it was kinda worth it.

I really like this place. The food is simple but its delicious - it's the kind of food you just can't stop eating. The portions are huge, I definitely didn't need the starter of garlic bread that I shared with a friend. I had the spinach and ricotta tortellini, which I would definitely order again. My friends all had pasta dishes which they loved. I tried to book a table, but the phone number didn't seem to work. However as it was a Tuesday it was quiet enough when we arrived. It was hard to attract the attention of the waitress and the service was a little on the slow side - annoying if you were in a hurry, but nice if you don't want to be rushed out the door.
