Popped in to Pygmalion in the Powercourt Townhouse Cnt for a bit of Brunch with my other half and the service and the food was good. I ordered the Avocado on toast with poched eggs and the other half ordered the full Irish Breakfast. Prices are very reasonable for the location and I would also recommend the coffee!

Went here for lunch with 3 work friends and sat outside on dirty torn seats which were probably part of the 'shabby chic' style but this included bird poo on the chairs...Order was taken and we had to pay for it upfront undoubtedly because people were waiting too long for food to appear and hopped it. Took half an hour after we ordered for food to appear and the order was wrong. Asked numerous times to get right order. No apology, in fact barely a reaction about order ! When food came it was good but not worth the price. The experience overall was definitely not positive and we all agreed on not returning or recommending it.

We thought we were going to the restaurant in the atrium but unfortunately ended up ion the bar- same great food but the lack of a decent cocktail menu and the exceptionally loud music combined with meh service did lend itself to not the quiet night out for dinner that we had imagined. I would definitely go back were I prepared for it as the food is well worth it, esp the sweet potato wedges!

Used menupages voucher. Had read previous reviews. Table reserved for us in bar..was told this by phone when reservation was being confirmed so was acceptable to me. Yes you pay up for your drink , had expect this , reading previous reviews. I find that normal enough policy. Food was great. loved the Nachos (big plate) and had the usual tapas (chorizo, paella ..) and loved it. They must have picked up on service as we probably had too much of it...as 2-3 different people asked if we were ready to order , same number asked if everything was alright and never had to wait long for anything..so looks like they are reading menupages reviews. ;-) One thing I don't like is the tipping service when you use the toilet..never one of my favorite things when I go to a bar. Otherwise a good night out.

Very casual atmosphere and seemed to be for a younger age group than ourselves. While service was very slow at the beginning our waitress was most attentive and apologetic when she mistook my order. The tapas were of good quality and enjoyable. The main disappointment was paella which was very poor. We would go back.

Having had lunch many times in the Townhouse part of the restaurant we had high hopes for dinner. When (finally) we were able to get a table booking we were informed it was only the bar open in the evening but that didn't really phase us. Sadly, what can only be described as a total fiasco, started with a party already sitting at our table. Begrudgingly the incumbents slowly moved on but the waitress high-tailed it and left us to our own devices to shift them. We got settled and ordered drinks and food, upon our waitress return we were informed that the kitchen was "very busy" and it would be about 45 minutes for the food to come out. We totally understood and were delighted when she bought us bread and olives to stave off the hunger. We found it a little strange that we were asked to settle the drinks bill in advance and couldn't run a tab! Later we understood why! After almost 90 minutes and several complaints later the food finally came out, the large majority of it being cold! Not happy campers at all!!!! In fairness we were compensated with a round of drinks due to the delay and finally offered to refund the value of the Menupages vouchers we had purchased. But that said, we would much rather have enjoyed the excellent dining we have experienced on previous occasions for lunch.

Great tapas food but slow to arrive on the table. Some dishes were quite cold when we got them. Poor choice of wines.

best tapas I had in Dublin, but since we were having our meal in the bar and not the restaurant it was pretty noisy.

Ate here on the menu pages voucher for dinner on friday night with three friends. It was the most disappointing voucher experience I've had to date, clearly as they had already got my money! We booked approximately 3 weeks ago, and were called back to be told that the restaurant was under rennovation, that we could eat in the bar. I questioned it at the time, and was assured that it would be the same experience, that there was a part of the bar they would transform to a restaurant for the extent of the rennovations. We were seated at the bar on the southwilliam street side of the pub, they put a low table right infront of the bar, and we were jostled all night be revellers going too and from the bar, the toilet the smoking area etc. It was very uncomfortable. I asked to be moved, first staff member didn't speak any english, second advised that it was not an option, and then the manager told me that it was the last table they had. The service was pretty poor - and very unlike a restaurant. You have to pay for your drinks with every round for example! The staff didn't know what was for desert, and infact gave us a completely wrong description 'um, its like a chocolatey thing, a cheese cake and a tart' - no, its not actually, its just three sponges of different flavours. The Dublin Bay Prawns were the highlight of the tapas, and the nachos and calamri were enjoyable. Other food was fine, but the atmosphere and staff attitude really let the place down. Safe to say I will not return.

Booked dinner at Pyg, when we arrived the lady insisted that we were a booking of 6 for at 6 p.m., I booked on line and at no time was our booking for six, it was always for 2 people, then the dilemma of where could we be put sitting, no better place than beside the speakers (which we had to ask to be switched down) even though there were plenty of other other spare tables at 6 p.m. We ordered, the food took over half an hour and when it did arrive we didn't get what we ordered, decided we would just eat and leave, I had hoped we would be sitting inside in the Powerscourt which was the reason for me purchasing the voucher in the first place as I have eaten there before. The venue itself is good but not for food as you can't see what you are eating as it is so dark. Would like to try it again but not in the dungeon!!!

Awful service, never again, they rang 3times to confirm the booking then when we got there there was no one to seat us then when we found our table we waited 15mins for menus and drinks. They then asked for the full bill to be paid upfront ( I've never in my life heard of this!) and after that the food was so long it was cold. 1hr and half into our time there and we had 1drink and no food, not through lack of trying and politely reminding the waitress!!! Definitely would never go again.

Really good food, and nice atmosphere, but the service was terrible. Had to ask 3 times for a drink when we arrived, then waited an hour for our tapas and when we questioned it we were told it was our fault for not showing the menu pages voucher sooner- we gave this to the waitress when ordering and also gave the voucher number when reserving the table. Food was good when it eventually came but service was a major let down.
