Awesome place with delicious food and amazing staff. Made a booking through Menupages and they had the details when I arrived. Everything was smooth, food came on time and jesus that Beef Rendang is to die for. Love this place!!

Had another fantastic meal on Saturday evening - delicious food, really tasty cocktails (recommend the Old Fashioned!), and a lovely atmosphere.

Wow.. Loved loved, loved this Restaurant.. Fantastic service.. just the right balance of friendliness and distance.. the tables are booth style round tables which I love as its so much more social. The cocktails are pricey but really nice and the foos is spectacular.. I'm vegetarian and what really impressed me was the waiter was able to reassure me that their veggie option for the Thai Green curry had no fish or shrimp paste or oyster sauce with out me having to even ask.. this is not the norm in Irish restaurants and was really appreciated.. My self and my friends had a wonderful experience and Id recommend it to any one, especially if your vegetarian. I'll be back..

I've heard wonderful things about Opium so I couldn't wait to eat there. It didn't disappoint. I had the ribs (fab) and shaking beef (the beef was deliciously soft) and my friend had the king prawn (which was one very large prawn, not what she was expecting) and the beef rendang which was really tasty. I will definately eat here again but it is a little on the pricey side so i'd probably go for the early bird the next time. The zombie cocktail is worth a try too.

Christmas menu is in full swing here for December. Starters are set and appeared to be a platter of chinese starters from the supermarket-spring rolls, fish cakes, satay skewers. My main of shaking beef was not shaking, it was in a sweet sauce with bland rice and a salad dressed in so much lime it was inedible. Worst of all the music was so loud that nobody could talk. Ran out of the place as soon as we had eaten.

I had a pleasant evening at dinner in Opium however I was disappointed with the portion sizes of the starters - I felt that they were over-priced for the meagre amount of food server.

I have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed with the food or service. This time we went with two teenagers, one of which found her dish on the spicy side and without being asked the manager recognised this and got her a fresh meal of the same dish but just plain - can not fault his attentiveness and service or it turned out his taste in rum! Food wise the dishes are fresh and flavoursome and at an extremely affordable price. There are some reviews here complaining about the noise, while it is not the quietest place but it does all add the atmosphere and enjoyment - I would highly recommend.

Have eaten here several times in the last few months and the food is always amazing. Best thai in Dublin. They do a great early bird Sunday to Wednesday 2 courses for €19.50.

We have been to Opium a few times in the last year with friends. We all love Asian food and the flavours and choice of food is undeniably great, even the cocktails are superb. Unfortunately on each occasion we have come away half deaf and with sore throats from screaming across the table to have a conversation. Think Opium need to decide if the ground floor is a restaurant or a pub/club. The tunes are always wicked... a great mix of music to get you in party form... But blaring loud is not for dinner. You can go upstairs if you want to dance, so they need to consider lowering the music to a lively but manageable level for the comfort of those wishing to catch up with friends over dinner. It is also ALWAYS very warm. Even my hubby who is as cold as cold can be at all times, breaks a sweat in there. That said - the menu is creative, the dishes are beautifully presented and the dessert menu is a thing of beauty. Please just turn the air con on and the music down a touch. Not sure we will give it another chance if not. Shame really, cause we love the food and the vibe.

I dined here for lunch with a colleague. It was a busy lunch hour on the Friday, but still were seated at a nice table. The menu is extensive, which made it hard to choose just one dish but I opted for the Chicken Cashew with Fried Rice and a Mai Tai cocktail, and my colleague ordered the Shaking Beef with Brown Rice. Both dishes came within 10 minutes of ordering, which during a busy Friday lunch hour is impressive. My dish smelled & tasted absolutely delicious! The flavour is very strong but not overpowering, the vegetables were fresh, the chicken was still moist and there were a lot of cashew nuts, which was important of course. The sauce itself was so tasty, and all worked perfectly with the fried rice. My colleague was completely satisfied with her dish, she couldn't stop raving about how good it tasted! The cocktail I ordered was strong and tasty, and quite refreshing too. The service at Opium was brilliant too; the staff is very friendly & attentive, the bathrooms are very clean and well designed and the value for money is brilliant. Definitely going back to Opium for lunch, dinner and cocktails!

We ate on a Saturday night, they were very busy but the service and the food was excellent. The bill was also very reasonable. The waiters were very helpful, their recommendations on both the food and wine were excellent. All four of us agreed that we would return again and that we would recommend this restaurant to others. Overall 4.5 is a well deserved excellent score. One slight criticism was that it was a little rushed at the end as they were so busy and they had people waiting for the table.

Visited for the early bird, which was grand. And grand was all it was. Poor gyoza; very disappointing given what can be found in other more authentic restaurants. Standard Singapore noodles, which can sampled elsewhere at a fraction of the price.
