Went for sunday late lunch with some friends, the place was very busy, teh carvery plates were very generous portions, but the food was cold and the turkey meat was very dry, we ordered some chips aty the bar, that took ages to come out and were not cooked through properly. Definitely a nice spot for a couple of drinks, but not for food.

O'Neills is by far the best in town for a Sunday Roast. Great value for money, huge portions and a great selection of meats. Been here many times and the only negative is finding a seat as they are always packed at the weekend. If you don't fancy a large carvery dinner they have a soup and sandwich section aswell as a bar menu so loads to choose from. I would defo recommend to anyone who has relatives from overseas visiting.

The food from the extensive menu at O'Neill's is always delicious and comes in generous portions. And especially for the city centre it is very reasonable. And while I would not necessarily go there by myself it is the perfect place for showing off a slice of Irish pub culture to visitors (in our case Canadian friends). There is usually live music upstairs which gives it a very lively atmosphere and the maze of little corners makes it homely and comfortable. It's usually very busy so arriving either early or very late is recommended.

We went in for lunch on Sunday. We both got the JD chicken club sandwiches and they were perfect! The chicken is fresh and the portion is huge! Between price, flavour and service I had no complaints. We go here regular enough and I have never been disappointed!

We made our decision to eat here, based on all of the awards posted on the outside of the building. Lucinda O'Sullivan had rated it as a great place to eat in 2012. That woman need to check her taste buds. Three of us went down to the carvery, and one of us ordered a burger. The burger was decent, the chips were fresh and hot. The food from the carvery?? total crap. The ham was completely dried out, he literally cut my bits off the bone. It was SOOOO salty that I couldn't even eat the few parts that weren't dried up. The roast beef, taken out and cut fresh, was over cooked and dried as well. The best part of the entire meal was the turnip mash. The crispy potatoes weren't too bad, but all in all, and incredible waste of money. The atmoshere inside is quite nice, but that is the only redeeming quality of O'Neills, sad to say. If you can't cook a ham properly, you've got troubles.

I had the misfortune to eat here on Sunday, we were looking for a roast dinner and chose O'Neills. Potatoes were tasteless, meat (lamb) was stringy and the vegetables (overcooked) were slopped onto the plate along with the water they'd been cooked in. I had to ask the girl to drain the water from the plate, utterly disgusting. The tables were filthy, used plates left stacked and then when removed we had to ask for the table to be wiped down. Very bad value for money, will not be visiting again.

I think this place is wonderful. You can get fed quickly and heartily smack bang in the center of town. A great place to bring tourists on a busy day around town, which is exactly what we did with my girlfriends uncle. Topped off the delicious food with a nice pint of Guinness. Perfect!

Eat here from time to time when in meeting friends and want a quick bite. The portions are good and the food wholesome, though generally the menu doesn't match what's actually available. Being a very busy city centre pub the conditions can often be cramped, particularly during big sports matches.

Went here for lunch two weeks ago following a first visit in October when we all got great roast dinners and really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately this time it wasn't as nice at all, fatty lamb,o.k. ham and turkey and beef that was too hard to chew in places. There was also quite a lot less veg and potatoes than we got previously.Same price though! Last time we were asked if everything was ok and it was... but this time nobody did.The staff are pleasant and the place has good atmosphere and good beers but we won't be eating there again.

The best spot in town for value for money. They load your plate with food, and I'm sure they'd have no problem if one went back for seconds! Staff are really friendly. Atmosphere in the bar is great, and after a delicious meal it's a perfect spot to stay on for a few pints.

Had lunch here a couple of times recently. Absolutely huge portions of Irish slop!! Very tasty most of the time and very filling. Can be not so great the odd time. Could do with a price reduction though at this stage to get back in line with the rest of the Dublin market!

We had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. Brilliant selection of carvery meals, really big portions and a great atmosphere. I had turkey and my husband had the stew. We really enjoyed eating there. Prices are a bit too high for a carvery lunch but it's in the city centre so that's ok. I will come back again.

What a disappointment I'm afraid!! this place used to be great! Went in for food and it wasn't the greatest, the beef was very dry, potatoes a bit hard and the veg was way over cooked! Such a pity really, used go there a lot in Oct and Nov as I worked near there for dinner and it was great! Get back to that :(:(
