Nico's is a landmark in the history of Dublin. Soft music, exquisite cuisine and a warm sense of hospitality and friendliness greets whoever comes for an evening of good food and enjoyment in an Irish-Italian atmosphere. Generations of Irish people have enjoyed the pleasure of a good meal and a great feeling in Nico's restaurant, since the '60s.
Located in Dame Street, the heart of Dublin, just a few steps from Trinity College and the Bank of Ireland, which was formerly the historical seat of the old Irish Parliament, Nico's Restaurant has been able to offer good food at a reasonable prices and many Irish as well as Italian people keep a loving memory of it. Described as "Friendly and Cheerful" by an old friend, who spends many happy nights, sipping Sambuca in this popular Irish-Italian meeting point. Patron Emilio is always there to give you a warm welcome on you arrival. Don't miss it in your next visit to Dublin. Ciao

I have been coming to Nico's for many years. It has not changed over the years. It is just genuine Italian food in a genuine Italian restaurant. The piano playing in the background is a touch of class. I'll be going back for many years more.

Have visited Nicos twice recently after an absence of a couple of years. We were glad to see that the standard of food was still the same however on both occasions having ordered crab claws we had to ask for a finger bowl. I also think that a serving of vegetables with the main courses would make for better value as paying for each serving can make some main courses quite expensive. That said we will be returning.

We dined as a party of four. We had the pate and aubergine dishes shared for starters and both were excellent. The Veal  champignon was really nice, steak was super as we're the shrimp and chicken meals. The house red wine was really enjoyed and we finished with the gateau and creme  brule. The staff throughout were attentuve and professional and overall we had no issues at all with the meal and everyone had an enjoyable evening. Recommended.

Lovely olde worldy Italian restauarant. The art deco decor was fab. The food was excellent, if sometimes a little rich. The staff were attentive and accommodating. Gentleman plaing piano added to atmosphere. Would return.

First time here, Nice piano being played in the corner as you enter the room. Its old world type eating ! Wife had Pate starter which was v nice accompanied with small pieces of toasted pan but no jam. I had stuffed mushrooms with no flavour of stuffing, only tomato. Wife had veal in a mushroom sauce but it was greasy garlic sauce with tough tasteless veal ,they changed it for veal in breadcrumbs which was deep fried in cold oil I recon as it smelt like old grease. I had a fillet steak which was very nice but not cooked as I like! but just ate it anyway. The toilets are very nice here ,we wont be returning

Two of us went last night, quiet at first then got quite busy. Good to hear staff speaking Italian in an Italian restaurant?Good food with good service and reasonable wine prices, will be back soon .
