It was great value but was very noisy as we were sitting under a tv and there was a match on so it's not the best place for a meal. Service was excellent .

Had never visited this pub before-it is off the beaten track.Very nice pub-extremely busy.Food was fine, great value.Service excellent.Only problem was that a large group of customers were standing right by our table-wouldn't want to be claustrophobic! Will visit again-but maybe at lunchtime or early afternoon! A table by the window would be lovely!

We had a 'Deal' voucher and we really enjoyed a great night here. The food was excellent & the service couldn't have been better! Great 'Buzz' around this venue. Definitely we will return.

I took advantage of a menupages voucher to have a late lunch/early dinner in the Lincoln Inn on our way to the Bord Gais Theatre. It was a quiet wet Saturday afternoon in this wonderful old atmospheric Victorian pub. Food was "gastro pub grub", surprisingly good, wide choice. Does exactly what it says on the menu. The bar staff were welcoming, friendly, low-key but attentive. Overall a place to relax. We had an excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio as part of the great value deal and tried a couple of pints too. It's a sharp ten minute walk to the theatre which, having overdone it a bit with the alcohol, helped to keep us awake during the show. Recommended.

The bar is lovely, and the barman was very welcoming and chatty. We had chicken wings and pate to start, both were delicious. Our waitress was also friendly and chatty. For mains I had fish pie but I was a little disappointed in it,I did not really like the sauce or potato topping. My husband really liked his burger. All in it was a very enjoyable evening and we will be back.Thank you.

Booking was at 6p.m. Atmosphere was good, but got a little noisy from about 8pm onwards. Service was very good and waitress very friendly. Food was very tasty, except the banoffi for dessert, which lacked flavour. Overall, a very pleasant experience

We had a voucher which offered a three course meal for two & a bottle of wine, so it was amazing value. Some of the items that were on the menu when we booked the voucher weren't on the menu when we got there, but we had a fair choice. We had reserved a table - we were given one in the corner, unfortunately under the speaker playing rather loud music, & by a corridor, so not much in the way of atmosphere & we were separated from everyone else in the pub. I would ask for one of the snugs if I went again. We were greeted and seated quickly, and offered a choice of red or white for the wine. Menus were rather grubby paper sheets on clip boards - these could definitely be improved. Starters of chicken wings & the crab cake. Chicken wings were OK, very spicy & came with a thoughtful bowl of warm water & lemon to clean fingers. The Crab Cake was the star of the meal. Very tasty, plenty of crab and a little salad - really good - I wish I had known it was available as a main course. Mains were fish & chips, & Thai Green Chicken curry. Generous portions of both. The curry was very hot - considering it was described as a mild curry - OK for me but might need to tone it down a bit for gentler palates. Fish & chips were rather greasy, especially the batter. Pudding was in short supply; we had the last portion of banoffee pie, & the last tiramisu. Both very good, and again generous sizes. Service was good but the waitress left before we finished our meal which was a shame, as we would have liked to have given her a tip - but were unwilling to leave it on a table in the bar rapidly filling with drinkers, and we couldn't get the attention of the only member of staff behind the bar who was dealing with the influx. Overall a good meal and excellent value with the voucher. Definitely worth a try – especially for the crab cakes.

Excellent value on a Menupages deal. Considering it was bar food the quality was very good. Four of us had a lovely meal. Bruscetta beautifully presented, fish cakes nice. Two of us had the curry which was excellent as was the fish pie.The onion rings for sides were lovely and crispy. We couldn't fault it for value for money.
