My Swiss wife started with the camembert and gave it a big thumbs up. I started with the foie gras, which while tasty would probably have been better named liver pate: I made a mistake not being more specific when asking for toasted white bread with it and received sliced pan, tho the presumably French chef did send 10 slices and I ate the crusts:-). For mains we both had confit of duck with lentils which were cooked to perfection and excellent value. For dessert, we had crepes suzette; they weren't the most delicate we've eaten but the size and heartiness probably suit the maket. For drinks we had an interesting Austrian red recommended by the maitre d', I can't remember the varietal but it was good value. I also spilled some water on myself and the table, and the maitre d' couldn't have been more helpful, even offering to lend me a pair of trousers! My water adventures aside, we enjoyed the meal, thought it was great value, and will be back.

Firstly we bought one of the deals for 4 people on GrabOne for a friend’s birthday. It was booking via email only, we requested a table for 7.30pm & was told there was only availability for 6pm & they needed the table back my 7.30pm but while we were there, we noticed the place was pretty empty so not sure why we were told only 6pm? For 4 people we only had a choice of 6 tapas from the small tapas selection & at that we were very limited to what we could order. The food was nice but there wasn’t much of a selection to choose from. All in all it was a nice place, good location & the staff were very nice but I don't think I will visit again.

The wine bar itself is lovely, relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The wine list is vast and caters for all. Our problem was with the tapas, it is extremely expensive for the portions. We had the tiger prawns (x6), Spanish croquettes (x4) and patatas bravas between two which were all very tasty but not filling at all. Would recommend for wine, but not for tapas if you're in any way hungry!

Myself and a friend went to La Ruelle for some wine, the winelist has everything - for all budgets. We ordered the cured meet platter, braised beef and beef medaillons which was amazing food.... Mouthwatering! The service was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back again for more wine.
