In July 2010, Paulie's Pizza opened it's doors. With Paulie's Pizza the aim is to be the first pizzeria in Ireland to create real Neapolitan style pizza.
To do this they use only Caputo '00' flour, San Marzano tomatoes, the best mozzarella, slow proved dough and a wood fired oven which cooks at over 450 degrees Celsius. The Vera Pizza Napoletana.
As well as pizza they do a wide range of pastas as well as gnocchi, canneloni etc. etc. They also have a full range of delicious desserts and real Italian Gelati.
The oven which is at the heart of the restaurant was imported in one piece from the manufacturer in Italy.
It is made in the traditional Neapolitan way with a low roof which allows the pizzaiolo to finish the pizza in the smoke at the top of the dome giving a unique charred taste not possible in conventional ovens.
The menu is constantly changing at Juniors Deli & Cafe as well as Paulie's Pizza depending on what is in season, fresh and delicious, so next time you're in Dublin 4 drop in to a Juniors in Beggars Bush and check it out.

Came in when Dublin match was on as knew it would be quiet . 2 starters and shared pizza . Food is great . I'm just back from 2 weeks in Italy and can honestly say this is the best pizza I've had in years . Also had jug of Long Island t and it tasted real !! Not fake cocktails you get in other places . Love this place and staff are great .

Well some good some bad points: Good: Staff are friendly and efficient My starter of bruschetta was nice with a great tomato flavours. Bad: space is very cramped people at the next table and waiting staff couldn't help bumping into me at times. I was upstairs but downstairs looked even worse. Upstairs was very loud with music and people not relaxing at all. My pizza was very disappointing with too much pesto which overpowered everything and a big pointless lump of rocket in the middle. This is nowhere near real Naples pizza standard - I've been there I know ! Dessert of Tiramisu was at best boring - no great flavours. I won't be back €80 for 2 wasn't really good value and its a pity because this place could be so good.

really enjoyed the meal here, half a point off as the pizza could have been crispier but overall excellent, great choice and variety of toppings, brilliant location, really nice atmosphere and very cool staff

I was here for my birthday back in September and was really disappointed with this place. Apart from the pizza being incredibly salty and not great (I had juniors pizza) and having to navigate through the usual cloud of rocket which seems to be the norm these days. What I found disappointing was how they chuck you out after an hour and a half. Myself and my bf were prepared to have the full 3 courses and we had booked for 7.30 but when we went to order dessert, the waitress came back telling us we had to leave, that our table was needed by anxious looking people looking over at us at the bar, At no point when booking or through the meal were we told that we had to be finished by 9. Put a dampner on the evening to say the least. Will not be returning!

I had heard great things about Paulie's Pizza so I had very high expectations going in, and they were all met! Easily the best pizza I've eaten in Dublin, the cocktails are brilliant and the room is lovely - really cosy! I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!

I had been here a couple of times before and liked it but not loved it. But I went last night and had one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten!! I was with a large group, several of us ordered the special "Barry's Pizza" which was seriously delicious. Everyone else had a variety of different pizzas and everyone was happy. Excellent friendly service also, and a great atmosphere. It's just a pity they don't open for lunch!

Nice little spot, in what has become a more lively area than I remember it. Looks small but has plenty of room upstairs. Menu was interesting but we all got pizza - any were quite happy with them - although they looked more impressive than they tasted (I had the Greek and it was a little tasteless)

Food was delicious as usual --- Paulie's never disappoints. We had a margharita and barry's ....both very happy with our choices. Music was a bit loud making it really difficult to talk.

First up - service was excellent. Super friendly and attentive without being overly invasive. For example they brought us out a wine cooler for the white wine and then a few minutes later someone came out and changed it. They realised the one we had had been out a while and brought us a cooler one. Nice touch. They didn't have to do that. The food was great - had the antipasti to start - why don't they have the arancini on the starters menu? Suggest they do because they're excellent. Also had the grilled peach salad which was really good. Really top end ingredients, the balsamic was thick and unctuous (I love that word), the mix of peach and walnut and rocket and parma was lovely. THen we had the four cheeses pizza, which wouldn't have been my choice, but it was delicious. Overall - top notch experience. Would deffo recommend it. The menu is so good it was hard to settle on the three things we had.

According to my stars this rates well but there were just a few reasons why I want to write a review. I knew it was pasta & pizza but I didn't realise I wouldn't have a veggie option on the pasta menu. It there is one it'd be nice if it was on it & I didn't have to ask, I didn't bother. There was fish & meat but no veggie option. I couldn't fault the starters. I would go back & have a few of them as they were really good. I had the bruschetta with mozzarella. Everything was good about it & it was a generous portion. I had a Greek pizza & it was good, not amazing, just good (& big). The red onion was nice on it. The wine we had was decent but at 7.50 a glass it was no great deal. We sat upstairs & unfortunately we were directly under a speaker. It was a bit loud & I I think I was nodding to things I should have been elaborating on as I couldn't hear half the conversation with my friend. It's fairly busy & there were loud kids and stuff so just be aware it ain't going to be a relaxing experience. Maybe later is better, we ate at 7-8pm. We also had to vacate the table in a hour so there was no hanging about. I'd go again for the starters.

Not a bad little place to pop into for some authentic Italian food when around the Ballsbridge area - went there last night with twelve friends - staff were lovely and friendly - the food went down a treat.

I think this is the only place in Dublin when you can get an authentic pizza like in Napoli. It tastes amazing. The only thing is the price. Pizza Margherita in Napoli cost maximum 5 euro. Here it is 12. Which is the standard price for a pizza in Dublin.

Best pizza in Dublin...can't wait to return. I had marguerita and hubby had Barry's. We were both very happy. Weren't so crazy about our starter (rice and cheese balls)...but we really didn't need it and it wouldn't put us off returning. Loved it.
