I went here last night for my 40th birthday. We were very disappointed with the food. Starters was a prawn butterfly it was served with no dipping sauce and I came across the waste pipe as I was eating it NOT GOOD. I didn't say anything when I was asked was all ok,I hate complaining so got mains. Grainy madras not nice at all,my wife's chicken balti whigh was recommended, chicken was so dry it was like cardboard. The best thing about the meal was the meal was the wine and the nan bread. Staff not very happy with critasim. But didn't charge us 4 the 2 mains that were handed back. Won't be back

We went for a Sunday lunch here on a one off. As Indian curry fiends we like to try different places! This was a fixed menu with what they say is 2 courses - really 1 course and nan/rice. But still very good value. Good portion size and good quality meat/prawn. Not a huge amount of food but perfect for both of us as a lunch and for the money really good.

Superb food as always in the Jewel 1 of the best indian restaurants around. Only negative was having to wait nearly 5 mins for rice to arrive at the table after we got our mains and side dishes.

Went here with 2 friends for an early bird, was surprised of the great value, food was really tasty, poppadoms big starter, and a main all for €13. We were all stuffed and very impressed, we will all definitely go back.

I went here with a group of work colleagues on Friday night. The booking was made over 3 weeks ago but when my colleague called to confirm, she was told that the booking was for Saturday. Anyway they said they could fit us in on Friday. When we arrived it was clear that they weren't expecting us as the table hadn't even been set up. They managed to put some tables together to fit us in but it was a tight squeeze. The service was atrocious. The poppadoms and dips arrived but we had to ask for plates. We shared the mixed starters which were mediocre. My colleague beside me ordered a lamb biryani, but he was given a lamb jalfrezi, He told the waiter that he had ordered a biryani but the waiter insisted that he had ordered a jalfrezi. The conversation went something like this, Colleague "Sorry but I didn't order this" Waiter, "yes you did" Colleague "No I ordered a biryani", Waiter "no you didn't" Colleague, "I'll eat it but I didn't order it" Waiter walking away "Yes you did" My colleague called the waiter back and pointed out, "Just to let you know, I know what I ordered, I will eat this but I ordered a biryani" Waiter "no you didn't". The behavior was an absolute disgrace. the food wasn't much better. My king prawn jalfrezi lacked any real spice, it was chilli hot as it should be but other than that it was flavourless. The 4 or 5 prawns I got were certainly not king prawns, to be honest I don't know what they were. They were not the shape or the texture of prawns, not good. The general consensus was that the food was ok, but mine certainly wasn't. I cook Indian food a lot at home so I know what to expect. Overall a most disappointing experience. Never again.

Had a nice meal with friends. Waiter seemed a bit clueless but was helpful and the food did not take long to arrive thankfully. Would be good to be asked would we like drinks before taking food order.

I LOVE this Indian! It's fantastic value and the service is always brilliant but the food is the star - it's just gorgeous. I've been here many times and always had a great experience.

Loved the Tandoori butter chicken! I got it with the Pilau rice and it was delicious. My partner got the Chicken Tikka Masala and it was also gorgeous. Definitely coming back!
