Went here recently for a bite to eat before going on to somewhere close by. When we asked if we could have some food, they made other people move from a table to sit us which felt a little awkward. (We found out afterwards that you can eat upstairs – they didn’t tell us about that?). The staff were not that friendly and when the staff member brought the bill, he stood over us to wait until we had put the money on the table which felt very rude! They also never asked if we had finished with our food before taking it from the table and didn’t ask if we would like dessert / tea or coffee … all very unwelcoming. The only saving grace from this was the food – it was good but there are far better places around town where you will receive a much friendlier service.

Had the Irish Times offer (3 courses + wine) so couldn't complain. Food was delicious, service was excellent (dessert recommendation spot on) and really like the decor. Toilets are hipster heaven!

Very expensive for what you get-€10 for a tin of sardines and toast, €24 for a plate of pasta. We were given bread 'for the table' and were then charged for it, despite not having asked for it. We got there at 8 and main course didn't arrive until 10. All in all I felt it was good food but not good enough for the price. Also they could do with a dumb waiter, six flights of stairs from kitchen to table makes for cold food and sweaty waiters.

Could not fault the food here, really good price point on everything and clearly a kitchen that know what they're doing and seem to care as well. Same goes for wait staff who were excellent. Very casual but we more than polite. Only criticism is that it was extremely slow, maybe 45 mins to get a main course and it wasn't busy but the place is nice with a good bar so there are worse places to wait.
