We visit this pub often for lunch as we only work across the road and I have always had great food in it. The portions are huge and it is the3 cheapest pub grub around by far. Their lasagne is definitely worth a mention, you just can't beat it. There is always a good crowd in here which helps with the atomsphere, and all the staff are very friendly. Can't beat it.

had some pub grub here yesterday - burger and chips. reasonably priced and large portion but far from home-made, bought-in frozen burgers. completely edible but expected better.

Ah, The Boar's Head! A lovely little boozer with an always excellent atmosphere. The food is fairly standard pub fare, but it's always hot, always hearty and reasonable value for the portions you get. One thing I would recommend is the baked potato with ham, turkey, stuffing and gravy. It's always guaranteed to bolster the defences against damage done or damage yet to be done by the pint glass!! Seems to be very popular with tourists. The weekends especially are very cosy and enjoyable there.

ive been here on many occassions and have always been quite pleased. it offers nice food for a reasonable price, with big enough portions.
