Not for me. Very disappointing with the “living room” experience upstairs. The waiter was the most positive aspect, but that is were it ends. Overpriced for small portions and no atmosphere.

A former colleague was back in town for a visit so another Italian colleague brought us here for dinner. I had for starter Bresaola,, than Gnocchi with Rabbit, red wine, an Espresso and Mousse for dessert. The portions are small and its overpriced. The food is authentic and the service was good. Small cosy restaurant. The menu is a bit limited in variety and oddly they don't have the menu on their website. Not sure if I would return

They appeared to run out of food. Only 3 portions of starter remaining at an early sitting. Two main courses off menu. Replacement main course appalling. When queried was informed that I would have to pay for any replacement. Never again.

Nice authentic Italian restaurant with no frills. The menu is limited but the food is very well prepared and presented. Portions are certainly not over sized and the starters are expensive. They should change this, It's a nice change from the Italian Restaurants that cater for the larger crowds. We had a very pleasant evening and I look forward to returning.

The starter of Burrata mozzarella was fantastic. My main of nochi was one of the best I have tasted, however my fellow diners' pastas seemed dry. The starters were relatively expensive while the mains were relatively normally priced.

2 of us went here on a Friday evening lately for dinner. The dining room is tiny and cramped but the atmosphere was good. The menu was small and we ended up ordering a starter and a main course from the menu and a starter and a main course from the specials board. All 4 dishes were excellent but the fresh mozzarella to start followed by the tripe were both highlights. Both dishes were from the specials board. We ordered a mid-range bottle of wine (~€35) and it was good without being excellent. The service was exceptional. the waiter was very attentive and took pride in explaining the dishes and discussing the food. The experience was a lot different to the approach you usually get in a casual restaurant where the order is taken and any questions are met with fear. the value was very good considering the standard of food and the service although the dining room is cramped. I would definitely return.

Mrs G heard about this on a radio interview and made an on the spot decison to book it for the Saturday night. What a quirky find. very different (very small!) but well worth the visit. Limited menu (to be honest we were not quite sure what we had ordered!) but great atmosphere, great friendly staff and a very enjoyable and different food experience - in Dublin ! not Italy !.

I've had the pleasure of introducing so many of my friends to the beautiful food here. Most recently, I took my boyfriend here for the first time. The restaurant itself is teeny tiny, it seats maybe 20 patrons. It's decor is a melange of odd vintage furniture that won't be for everyone but I love the shabby chic interior. It gives the restaurant a truly authentic feel and whisks you away from the city streets that are just a few steps away. The staff ooze that wonderfully breezy Italian charm, the service was speedy without ever being brusque. After we had gotten our drinks we were given a plate of fresh crusty bread with olive oil while we waited for my boyfriend's starter. He ordered their speciality mozzarella that was served with pesto, anchovies, sun-dried tomatoes and lots of other little accompaniments. It's a really special moment for any foodie when you introduce someone to a restaurant you love, and when they take the first bite of their food they kind of glaze over and can't speak to you for a couple of seconds because the food is so good! He said it was the best thing he'd eaten in his 6 month stay in Dublin. For our mains we had the Tonnarello for myself, and the Wild Boar for himself! The food was rich, hearty and so well complemented by the freshly grated parmesan over the top of the pasta. You know the food in a restaurant is fantastic when the conversation stops and all that can be heard at your table is the clatter of knives and forks! Then came the dessert.. Like any self-respecting foodie, I have a separate dessert stomach! So when we heard the daily special was panna cotta, we knew we had to try it! It was light and creamy, and so perfect when paired with the restaurant's house espresso (which the waiter was so kind to give us on the house). I can't recommend Terra Madre enough. It really is a diamond in the rough!

I ate here last night with 2 friends & it was a lovely experience. Unfortunately I was still hungry when I left. I had the sprouted capers to start which was so good. The white wine I had was way too nice too, it was like honey. The main course was a black truffle ravioli. My god it was mouth wateringly good. But it was such a small portion (for 19.50?). I ate it all in seconds, and was left trying to fill up on bread. My friend ordered the pasta with tomato sauce which was also good, her portion was slightly larger. The strawberries & the flan were quite nice too but I really just wanted to run in to the kitchen, find the truffle pot & refill my bowl! The staff were great, there were other Italian customers which seems like a good thing, & it was a pretty cool little place. It wasn't trying too hard which was refreshing. But more food on the plate please. Please... Ciao.

Wonderful little gem tucked away in a basement on Bachelors Walk. Excellent authentic Italian home cooking, unpretentious atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to
