.....................WORST SERVICE EVER.................... Called into la pizza for breakfast today.. Service has to be the worst I have ever came across, there was three girls waiting and each was as rude and unhelpful as the next, we were waiting Ages to be handed a menu then had to tell her we were ready to order as she never came back to us. When we finally did order we had to wait nearly 20 mins for the breakfast to came out and when it did it was cold the place wasn't even that busy so this kinda service is unacceptable then when we went up to pay the two girls were just standing at the coffee one making coffee the other just looking at her making it and wouldnt service us.. Will never be back and would recommend other people to go esle where for food as well..

I visited La pizza last night with some friends and I need to tell I was absolutely impressed. The service was very good. Both of the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. As they recomannded we tryed their Pizza Deals and their Meat Lasagnes. The food was lovely and well presented as we can expect from a Pizzeria. Being an Italain I can say the pizza was very delicious. I would recommend for anybody. Thank you Guys.

Went here with a friend as it was one of the few choices on O'Connell Street. The atmosphere has not changed over the years, the decor and how close the tables are to each other always feels like a fast-food Italian. We had bruschetta as a starter and were quite disappointed. The bread was nice but the pieces of tomato were quite watery and the basil was from a spice rack rather than fresh. I had the vegetable lasagne as a main. It was ok but nothing special. The fries that came with it were very nice though (not glistening in oil as in so many places and not too salty either). My friend had the soup with sandwich. The latter looked like it had been thrown together in a rush like running out the door at home in the morning. It is conveniently located and reasonable compared to the alternatives around it but not somewhere to go for a special meal.

The waitress brought chicken bites instead of chicken wings, and when we asked for the chicken wings, she said we had ordered the chicken bites and then left them on the table and walked off. The main courses were then brought as we were still in the middle of our starters and left to go cold while we had to rush through our meal. We're not picky/fussy but the service was genuinely shocking. We won't be back and we definitely wouldn't recommend.

Was only briefly here on the evening we visited. I opted for the Bruschetta which was very tasty and plentiful. Service was mediocre, can't say more than that about it. Couldn’t help noticing when looking around the place that the floor was very dirty and needed to be brushed out and scrubbed thoroughly. It was the latter end of the evening, but that is no excuse. Paintwork on the skirting was also badly chipped, it looked awful and needs a thorough freshen up. It’s a pity really as the snack I had was quite delicious – the surroundings let the food down badly I’m afraid.

Popped in here for a snack before heading home after a visit to the cinema. The place was absolutely devoid of atmosphere, and needs something to add a bit of life to it. I just had Garlic Mushrooms with a pot of tea. The portion was very generous and was served with two very thick slices of delicious toasted bread. Service was nothing to write home about, and the staff aren't the friendliest. It's a real ‘quick snack’ place and not somewhere you'd go for an intimate meal. It suited our needs this evening but we certainly won't be rushing back.

I should have ordered the pizza, but i went for the fish and chips special, inedible, service was great, but a low price for food you cant eat is not good value. I have had pizza here in the past and its good.

Cheap and cheerful. My boyfriend and I pop in here occasionally to kill time before going to the movies next door. The specials are good value. We had a small pizza, chips, salad and coleslaw for 10 euro. Was yummy. The food came quickly. The serice is fine, the waitresses take your order and bring you food, don't expect any more than that though. We will be back. A word to the wise though, don't touch the coleslaw!

Had a little bit of a wait for a table but that's to be expected given the city centre location I suppose. Portions were huge, I had lasagne and it was lovely. Would recommend.

Cracking little place despite a limited menu, had both the breakfast and evening menu's over several visits. Very cafe in style which I like, only things i'd say is that its the same in the evening too, could do with dimming the lights a little, table cloth or so to make it feel like a different place. Always busy'ish plenty of walk in customers, myself included on the first visit in the evening Very generous portion sizes, esp the soup of the day @3.95 had both the Vegetable and the Brocoli soups and they have been excellent Defo recommend if passing by.

A good place to go for a quick bite before the cinema. Not recommended for dates - some unsavoury characters may walk in off the street!
