Located on the 3rd floor, our bar is open, yet intimate, chic yet earthy. Key features are a 10m long bar and an outside private courtyard which draws its inspiration from contemporary Asian landscape design. A ‘stone rug’ running from the bar right out into the courtyard space brings the outside in to create a natural flow. Neon coloured bucket seats complete the look.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. The servers were very friendly and helpful especially Sladana and the gentleman from Uganda. We had a great evening even though the food was pretty average. The Singapore noodles were tasteless but the dessert was fabulous.

When the waitress who sat us did return to the table, she asked did we want a drink. I explained my partner had already gone to the bar but after 8 minutes we were still waiting on a menu. My partner returned and explained that they did not have the Makers Mark he wanted, or the Elderflower tonic for my gin, despite both being on the menu. However the bar staff were very polite.nFood arrived, presented lovely. The wings were very nice. Unfortunately both mains tasted like they were reheats and the chicken was very dry.nWe had to request the bill twice before it arrived. Ultimately, waiting staff weren't great and food is very overpriced.

Last Saturday, a friend and I went to the Gibson Hotel Bar for quiet drinks and a bite to eat. It was an amazing summer evening ruined by the horrible experience! The atmosphere and the décor are lovely but, unfortunately, I cannot say the same about their service and staff. One don’t need to have hospitality background to understand the importance of courtesy in this sector. Their staff is lacking a lot in etiquette and manners. For example, a young waitress who came to take the drinks order had a forced smile. And when the drinks arrived my glass had lipstick marks on it. I made the waiter aware of it and he apologised/said he was going to bring me another glass, which it was kind if it wasn’t by the fact that I was given my drink poured in the new glass. I wasn’t even given a fresh drink! Then, we ordered some portion of fries while we decide on the main dish. When the fries arrived it looked like they were left overs from other tables. It was dried and disgusting! NO FLAVOURSOME whatsoever. This obviously impacted our decision so when another waitress came to us asking if we were ready to order and we said we were okay, she swiftly took the menus. Even after all the bad impressions, my friend and I were considering ordering cocktails, this time, we were presented a bill without have asked for it. I asked the girl why we were given the bill and she explained it was some sort of the hotel policy. Following the rules is acceptable but, in my opinion, we should have been informed by the staff before the bill is just placed on the table. The moment we walked in we asked one of them if we should order drinks from the counter or we could take a seat. Etiquette and manners is not about treating people as “lords” or “madams” but ensures the behavior enhance the service therefore don’t damage the image of the place. I may take these things too seriously but I honestly believe that a professional relationship and maintaining a smiley, interested and and helpful expression while talking to guests makes your service trustworthy. NEVER in my life I can recall such an awful experience in hospitality. It was my first visit but I certainly won’t be returning or recommending the Gibson Hotel Bar to anybody.

Went for Brunch. Love the atmosphere here with the live music on a sunny sunday. brunch food was great, steak cooked to my order (which is a difficult thing to get in Dublin!) Service could be better here, all lovely friendly staff, but seem a bit disorganised, we waited a long time for the water and when food arrived, it was the wrong order, so we had to wait for ours to be cooked again. Value for food is good, I find drinks overpriced here.

Literally just left there and had to write a review. Ordered a glass of water and a wine sampler. 10 minutes later a different waitress informs me that they are out of the wine I wanted. Still no water. Another guy come to our table and my husband orders a beer to go with the water he hasn't gotten. Waitress comes back to take our order and we ask for waters. Food comes, still no waters. She walked by and asked how the food was and I asked again for two waters and THIS time she rolls her eyes at me. We decided that she would not be receiving a tip from us and that we probably wouldn't see any water. Once we were all most finished with our sub-par food, we got our waters! Then she never came back to see how we were doing. Awful awful service, no food selection, and it wasn't that good. Would never recommend this place.

Extremely disappointing. Food appauling - no choice only a so called Christmas Market Buffet i.e. starter was basically salads, most of which were swimming in vinegar. Main course was choice of tasteless goulash, burgers, something that called itself steak, bratwurst;and mash. Absolutely nothing fresh or flavoursome. Had booked table but still had to que for table. Had travelled from Limerick with parents for Andre Rieu concert and all four of us are of the same opinion regarding restaurant and food. Did not quite ruin what was a very special occasion, but, certainly did not enhance our stay in Dublin. Certainly would not recommend or return.

The Gibson really needs to promote their menu if they want to promote their business. There is no menu on this website or on their own (in fact their own website is very poor). For such a fantastic venue and original design, they should work on this in order to have more people coming through the doors. We went for a work lunch in the bar here and the food was good...the service was even better, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere to relieve the stresses of the working day! Will go again for lunch, but I'm sure they'll find it difficult to get first-timers in the door.

Just a quick line to say we popped in hear for 2 soups and 2 teas. Soup & bread was very nice but the bill came to 17.60 (soup was 5.50 each). Is it just me or is this completely over the top....
