Myself and friends come here on a regular basis for a quick bite to eat and chats during the week, so whilst this review will apply to one particular visit, it is pretty consistent such that it could apply to all visits (about 8 within the past 4 months). There are usually seats available to sit at, either up the front where it's a little more lively, or down the back which is sufficiently quiet for some chats early in the evening. The staff are always attentive, particularly as we drop in at various times, and the food comes out promptly despite the piece-meal ordering. The food itself is as expected for a pub with this atmosphere: hearty pub grub, with the odd healthier option. I have had the burger, the Fish & Chips, the Roast Chicken salad all before... all filling and tasty and nicely presented. The atmosphere is sufficiently 'Irish-pub' cosy even on cold winter's days. Whilst slightly better food could be had elsewhere, the overall package makes it an overall win for me.

I had a group booking for 15 people for a work night out and an area was reserved for us as requested. About 30 people actually turned up and there was plenty of standing room at the reserved area to accommodate them. No table service for drinks, but service at the bar was swift even though the pub was packed. We also noticed a sign saying that they supply complimentary party platters for group bookings of more than 10. I was not aware of this when booking & it was not mentioned to me when I sent my booking email or called on 05/12/2013 to confirm the booking. Normally I book somewhere else, & it is usually the 1st thing they ask me when booking "what time do I want the platters at?". So, we were quite disappointed that this had not been mentioned to us in advance. It was also not offered to us when the party arrived at 5.30/6.00 on 06/12/2013. We were also slightly disappointed that we did not see any drinks promotions on, particularly as it was a busy Fri night. Other than that we had a great night. Great atmosphere & good music. Also to note, it was extremely warm, so it is best to wear a T-shirt or light top and not an X-mas jumper, as we were all roasting & had to keep popping outside every 30mins or so, just to cool down.

Really nice pub but awful food. Have drank here many times but never eaten till tonight. Thinking it would be good hangover food. However feel worse now! Meatballs tasted like donkey meat, chicken was like sawdust, chips well over fried in old oil. Was very disappointed. The prices seem like good value but aren't really for what you get. Won't be back for food. However the staff are very nice and it is a cosy place for a few drinks after work or your way into town.

Went here on Sunday afternoon to recover from a late night. There was a large group of us and our drink order was taken first. This took a while and we thought if the food order had been taken first we wouldn't have had to wait so long for our orders to appear. However, the food is tasty. I had the goat's cheese salad and it was good though the slice of actual cheese was miniscule. Nice place to go after a late night out.

The Bleeding Horse is a really brilliant pub with nice food to match. The atmosphere in here is always great in my opinion. I can people watch while my boyfriend watches football or sit with friends having a bite in one of the many cosy nooks and crannies. The food is good value and I would recommend the burgers and mash for a comfort food dinner that really hits the spot. Plus it's one of the oldest pubs in Dublin. Bit o' culture with your grub!

A regular visitor for lunch at The Bleeding Horse. Standard carvery style lunch available but you can also get wraps, sandwhichs and even sausage and chips if you fancy. Fantastic staff who are polite and effecient. An example being that I forgot my wallet one day at lunch and the guy behind the bar says "Just call round after work, don't let you food get cold". No charge either for my pint of orange cordial with lunch.. Enough said!

Excellent location, super value combo platters that actually serve the amount of people they say they will and polite, fast service in one of Dublin's better pubs. Brought a party from the office here recently and everyone remarked how good the food was. We had an area upstairs to ourselves and we could not have had a better night.

Bleeding house is so big and unique that it's a famous landmark in the area. It's definitely a good hang out place to for a night out wit the lads. The food their is standard, just like most other pubs. Staff were friendly enough too.

I love this pub, the atmosphere is one of the best in Dublin. A great Friday after work pub, table service which is great and the food is good quality pub food. Love the southern fried chicken things and the great value bottles of wine! Go frequently and will continue to.
