Visited here few years ago with a group of friends, so was eager to bring my partner back while on a visit to Clonakilty. We were so disappointed this time round, the fasmily that were there had gone and with them their great menu, for a fishing village the fish selection on the menu was very inadequate, It just seemed all to be deep fried. I had scampi/Plaice combo with was just over cooked and over priced, my partner had chowder which he described as vegetable soup with a few bits of fish added. The server was abrupt and we felt we were a hinderance to him. We wont be back.

Visited Dinty's with four friends on January 26th, 2013. We all had seafood dishes and all five were absolutely delighted with the fare. The service was also excellent, and the blazing fire was welcoming on a very cold day. My friends who live in Dublin and in Kenmare stated that they would definitely return before the year is out.

Visited on a Saturday evening when we were staying nearby in Glandore for a week. It's quite a small bar with a mainly seafood menu. Had Monkfish and Scampi both of which tasted really fresh. Service was very friendly and efficient and as a bonus, the pints of Murphy's were majic

We ate twice within 3 days and would not have thought what was an amazing first visit could have been so totally disappointing on our return. The first night the restaurant was full and we had the baked hake which was delicious and a pizza Our return 2 days later to a relatively empty restaurant provided us with soggy batter on the guinness battered cod, burnt plaice ( though we did get 2 huge fillets) and a tagliatelle carbonara in place of a salmon and spinach tagliatelle. On the plus side, portions were huge and when we complained the manager responded quickly with a apology and a hefty discount. If they can keep the consistency in what is served this could well be a haven for those wanting good value

Just to advise people that ownership of Dintys has changed and so has the menu. There is a lot of "golden brown" ie deep fried food on the menu. Wouldn't be everyones cup of tea. The lasagne is still lovely though! Not sure the scampi is still fresh. It is good value for money though. Only problem is that you cannot book a table which can be a problem for big groups or people in a rush...

This is a little gem set in a picturesque West Cork fishing village. I have been visiting here with a number of years. No matter who is behind the bar, there is always a warm welcome. Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays are especially busy as well as during the summer months. This provides a great atmosphere. The menu caters for all tastes and for both young and old. I lie to order the deep-fried brie and then the prawns, ie. scampi. These are real prawns deep-fried, not the plastic-like ones you get in the supermarket or in a chipper! The seafood platter is to-die-for and I find it very hard to finish it when I order it and that's even the mini-platter. The fish pie is also delicious as are anything else I have tasted there over the years. It is a very child-friendly place to and the staff are all locals, making for a good rapport between staff and customers. I highly recommend Dintys for both lunch and dinner.

This is one of my favourite places in West Cork. We spend a lot of time in West Cork in the summer and we go here almost every weekend. Very friendly atmosphere , with a buzz, and always pretty full. Go early in the high season.

The food is great here - seafood and steak with great gratin potatoes. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired - even from management!

I have eaten here on numerous occasions before now and every time has been excellent,no complaints. If anything the portions are too generous, great food, fairly priced, you get what you pay for. I would recommend the Fish Pie, yum yum. Keep up the good work
