Lovely restaurant and a great choice of seafood on the menu. Our meals were beautiful.

Just too expensive. 2 starters and 2 mains for 84 euro. No drinks. Steak not a great cut at all.

Very glad I booked Man Friday on my recent stay in Kinsale. Was very impressed! Visited on a Saturday at 8pm. Restaurant appeared to be full- which is an obvious testament to the food. Our table was not immediately ready but we were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and had a glass of wine at the bar while we waited which was only for about 5 minutes. Our table was at a window, with a gorgeous view of Kinsale and the harbour. Restaurant was at a comfortable temperature and there is enough space between tables. Lots of big groups but this did not in any way disturb our evening. Our waitresses were friendly and helpful and service was prompt. Even though restaurant was full we were not forgotten about at all. The best thing about this restaurant is the food which was amazing! We opted for the 4 course set menu, good value and lots of choice to suit everyone! I had seafood chowder to start which is a regular choice of mine and I can definitely say that this was the best one I've ever had! Chose the Monkfish with cannellini bean and chorizo for my main. This was also gorgeous as well as the sides we received. I ordered the strawberry crème brulee for my dessert which I really enjoyed also. Would happily recommend Man Friday to any visitor to Kinsale and I definitely hope to return!

Lovely buzz with Christmas parties and family groups, great food and thankfully the crab gratin is back being served in a dish instead of the shell. A great meal from start to finish, will be back again.

Hurrah, the crab gratin is now served in a dish again, much better than the shell! The whole meal was great from start to finish, would have no problem recommending this restaurant to any one.

ate here saturday night and have to say still love it, only problem we had was the crab gratin is now served in a half shell instead of a dish, not sure if this is why it was cold in the middle but said it discreetly to the waitress and she very efficiently took it back and replaced it with a lovely piping hot one, the presentation was fine as it was, don't know why they changed it! other than that the meal was divine and at €38 for the set menu well worth it, we will be back.

Took my parents here for a special night out last Sunday and we weren't disappointed. This is still one of my all time favourite restaurants in county Cork. We dined off the set menu which is excellent value for the great quality of food. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed despite the place being booked out..

Man Friday is definitely to be recommended, it never fails to produce the best. The homemade brown bread is the best anywhere, the breaded mussels are stunning and the Fish Pie gorgeous, desserts while they taste lovely are basic on the early bird menu but for €25.00 it is excellent value for money.

Party of seven dined here meal was tasty and choice of wine was good. Service was respectable. Starters were varied and well pesented. Mains in particular fish dishes excellent, steaks a little dissappointing. Desserts were excellent. as for value for money it was good. Have dined here before and felt the standard had dropped just a little but still worth a visit.

I had dined here many years ago and wasn’t sure if it would live up to my memories At the entrance there are so many award plaques going back 10+ years, I reckoned we were in for a seafood treat. We opted for the early bird at EUR25 pp – starters of mussels and pate were good, hake main course was so tasty served with lots of fresh cooked vegetables and 2 kinds of potatoes. Homemade ice cream and meringue desserts served delicious. Portion sizes were generous and staff were friendly and attentive, taking time to chat briefly as they served. Great value early bird, will definitely visit again when next in Kinsale.

This was our first visit to Man Friday restaurant and it certainly didn't disappoint. What a gem of a restaurant! We opted for the Early bird menu and at only €25 for three courses it was good value. The food was delicious and I couldn't fault anything! There was a great atmoshphere even for a Monday. Will be retuning again.

I went here with my girlfirend once. Best steak I have ever had in Ireland. It was tender and cooked perfectly. They bring you out a selection of Veg. The pureed carrots were unreal as were the Garlic potatoes. The waitress we had was so pleasant. Everything made for a perfect night. Be warned, you leave this place exceptionally full!!!

Went here a couple of weeks ago with 5 of my girlfriends. We opted for the 'early bird' menu which is available all day on a Sunday. It was €25 per head which was excellent value for the meal we were presented with. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere was great. The service could not be faulted and the food was top notch! Would definitely recommend the early bird at the 'Man Friday'.
