Excellent restaurant, best Chinese in east cork by far and we have tried them alll! We always go back there even though it is a good drive from where we live. Great value for money and great service. They do reduce the portion size by 1/2 though if you eat in compared to a takeaway.

Lovely restaurant with extensive menu - spoilt for choice. Value for money excellent, service is efficient and great care taken by staff. All four of us enjoyed our meal, from mixed platter starter/prawn cocktail/won ton soup to Duck special which was supberb!! to sweet & sour prawns and beef with green peppers. We were all to full for desert - a very good sign. No complaints here highly recommend this restaurant.

Small restaurant overlooking Cobh harbour - lively atmosphere even though only a few tables were occupied. Menu was extensive enough to have us chopping and changing our minds a couple of times before finally deciding. Meal was delicious and service was very good.

This restaurant occupies a nice little spot opposite the prom in Cobh. There was a gentle 'buzz' when we arrived here early on Wednesday evening. It's a cosy little place with a quaint private 'booth' situated at the front window (which was occupied). Good choice of meals on the menu. Service was quick and waiter was attentive without being in our faces. Meal was delicious and we had a nice bottle of wine, but the wine list wasn't very exciting and could do with being extended. It was a wee bit pricey, but we enjoyed it nonetheless.

Couldn't fault this wonderful restaurantt if I tried. Had a meal here on Saturday with my fiancé and 8 other friends for his birthday. Friendly and efficient staff, exquisite food and a nice lively atmosphere. We eat here regularly and have always enjoyed every visit. The staff remember our names, and our habits too. We like to use chopsticks with a rice bowl, which are already on the table if we've booked or immediately fetched by a staff member on our arrival. The owner prepared a special menu for my fiancés birthday. A traditional feast of grilled seabass, szechuan bean curd and stir fried sam choi with garlic. Anyone who wasn't adventurous enough could order from the regular menu, which in most chinese restaurants is very westernised to suit the western palate. The Hong Kong Kitchen however seems to preserve as much authenticity as possible. Their sweet and sour sauce taste nothing like any I've had in restaurants or takeaways, but far superior. Go there and experience my favourite Chinese restaurant on the planet. Its probably the closest I'll ever get to China.

My favourite chinese restaurant. This restaurant is simply outstanding, the staff are always friendly and efficient. My fiance and I have eaten there several times and have never had a bad experience. If you go regularly and have certain habits like asking for chopsticks they will never forget and give them to you again. They will try to make you a dish if its not on the menu and have several traditional dishes available on request. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who appreciates good food and excellent service.

This place was the first restaurant we visited in Cobh after moving in this lovely town. The staff is extremely polite, efficient and friendly. They always treat the little ones with a lollipop even if you are there for the speedy take-away service. If you decide to eat in, your food will stay warm at the table thanks to the warmers which create a nice atmosphere. All in all, good value for money, the food they serve is really tasty.

This restaurant supplies consistently good food, superb service and excellent value for money. Staff are quick and efficient without being annoying, food arrives promptly, freshly cooked and steaming hot and is kept on warmers at your table. Bar requirements are efficiently attended to. You leave feeling well fed and utterly pampered and they happily "bag" unfinished food for you to take home - and its all done with a smile. Hard to beat!
