Payed €17 euro for 5 small prawns in a very bland sauce accompanied by 1 single small slice of bread. Ridiculous to call itself a main course. My boyfriend had the lemon sole which was tainted by the deep fried vegetables it came with. The staff were nice but the food was very disappointing and completely overpriced. Will not be returning.

I went here with my girlfriend for lunch on a Tuesday. We ordered: Garlic mushrooms (Starter) Pomodoro Penne Pasta (Main) Chinese Style Satay (Pork) w/ rice (Main) Side salad The garlic mushrooms were in a skillet of "garlic butter" which was in reality a lot of oil (by anyones standards) and little to no flavour. The whole starter was not seasoned at all and was a disappointment. The pork satay itself was very nice, really good taste and as advertised was more chinese in taste than indonesian style satays. The rice was not fresh tasting and was very chalky, as if it had been sitting in the air for a few hours. The pomodoro penne pasta was nice according to my girlfriend. The staff were very friendly and capable. Overall I was disappointed as I'd heard so much about the place. I would definitely shave €1.50 or €2 off the price of the mains as €14.25 for a pork satay with rice that wasn't even fresh is fairly pricey. Though the staff were nice I couldn't think of a reason to return. 3/5

Really good option if you are looking for a nice place to eat out in Douglas. No wonder it is hard to get a table here! You get really good sized portions here and the food is great value for money. They also do several daily specials so there is always great variety on their menu. The quality and quantity of the food here is second to none. The only criticism would be with the service. The staff can sometimes specify a time limit with your table as this is a very busy restaurant. It is also quite cramped in here and the tables are very close together. It is usually quieter at lunchtime though and as the food is very good I would definitely recommend it.

Service was good, quick and friendly staff but for the price I don't think the food was fantastic!! A good meal but way too pricey, especially with Bully's across the road being better value for money. We went during the day so atmosphere was quite dull but it wouldn't be my first choice in future,

It is my humble opinion that Eccos is one of the best restaurants in Cork city and it is my first choice when dining out in Douglas. The food is A1 ,my favorite being the emperor salad and the service is excellent.Only negative aspect is that the tables and chairs tend to be on top of one another....However the excellent food over comes that! Im looking forward to eating there again all ready!!!

Where do I start. The starter was ok but that’s where it ended. I ordered 10oz steak with mushrooms and onions (at an additional charge) with chips and peppercorn sauce (sounds nice). But I couldn’t be more disappointed!! The steak was fairly flavorless, the chips were over cooked shoestring chips, the PEPPERCORN sauce was cream sauce with ground pepper sprinkled on top and the mushrooms and onions came as a side dish with the steak instead served with salad. And all this at a premium price. There was no comfort in this cramped room and little or no parking in the surrounding area. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone as the whole experience was very very poor.

Ecos is an amazing restaurant in Douglas,Cork. There food is absolutely scrumptious and is the main draw here. The portions are also huge so go hungry.Their menu is so varied that it offers something for every palate.Personally I usually go for either go for their stir fry or their curry which are both extremely flavoursome. They come served with either rice or noodles or chips or wedges.Conveniently they allow you to choose a 'Half and half' option so you could choose half rice, half chips.Their desserts are equally appetising and I really recommend you try one with one of their famous coffees. The meringue roulade and snickers cake are to die for.Overall an amazing restaurant.

The good: The food is excellent. no complaints. 4 of us ate there. shared 2 starters + 4 mains + bottle of wine <100 euro. The bad: 30 minutes waiting for our booked table. Tried to change the booking earlier that day from 4 to 5 people. Told couldn't be done - yet ended up at a table for 6? White wine - would like to know if they actually have a fridge there - as a bottle has NEVER come our chilled. The waiting area - non existent, which is a pain when you're waiting 30 minutes for a table. As a result people have to wait outside in the street. Sorry Eco - yes your food is consistently good, but the dining 'experience' is sadly lacking. Going out to eat isn't just about the food. As a result i don't think we'll be going back - which won't be an issue for you as its always booked out a week in advance anyway.

the atmosphere in ecos resturant is really warm and freindly.when you walk into the resturant the staff are so warm and welcoming and they alwas make sure you are ok for everything.it is quite small and gets very bizzy but i belive this is because the food is really delisous and brillinat qualitly, also the price is very good with starters from around 3 euro to 6 euro, main courses from 10 euro to 20 euro and desserts from 3 euro to 6 euro. the only bad thing i would say is there is only a bathroom up stairs ,so not good for older people. i have been here many times with my family for birthdays and sometimes just for a lovely lunch or dinner out and i must say i would tell every one to go there at least once.but i will tell you that you will want to keep going back for more.
