Very good menu, but value on some items to be questioned. In particular in relation to 22oz steaks and 10 oz steak! little if any difference in the actual meat content of the two when you take meat off the bone. Disappointing to be paying an extra 40% just for a bone! Where we were seated was very cold. Food and service was good, but defiantly over priced.

I booked a table for myself and my girlfriends anniversary . I had been to soho before and the service was 100% this time it wasn't . During our meal we weren't asked once for drinks , water , or how it was . Twice I had to get up and ask someone for water etc. I work in customer service and the level wasn't up to the level that I was expecting . It was over priced . The meal portions for me were quite small and repeating having no water or waiter keeping an eye on us during our meal was very dissatisfying .

Having previously been to Soho bar, I was very excited to bookna Valentines meal there for me and my hubby, I booked on menupsges, and requested, if possible, the booth seat, as seen on the photos. I received an email back two days later to say my booking was successful. Upon arriving on Saturday evening, we were shown to a section of the restaurant, that was narrow, and shoved right next to the wall. It felt like we were sitting in a little corridor between the two nice seating areas. I said to the guy, "sorry, I asked for the booth in my reservation?" , to which he replied "well, that seats five", in a not so nice way, like i was silly for even asking,to which I was mortified, as there were people sitting around us, listening. So we sat down, and began ordering, only to look up 5 minutes later and saw that a couple had been seated in the booth that I had requested, and been told rather stand offishly, seated 5, like I was greedy for asking for it. Hubby wanted to leave, but I told him forget it, and carried on with the evening. The food was lovely, our waiter was so helpful and promt, and we spent €130 on food and drinks in total. Although the food was nice, the earlier experience but a severe damper on the evening. I had no problem not getting the table I asked for, if someone had rang me when I submitted my booking request to tell me, but instead to make me feel silly when I walked in the door expecting it and made to feel silly, only to see another couple being escorted there. All in all, I would say its a nice spot to go out, lovely cocktails, and the food is really nice.

This is a great place to come for a nice evening meal out, especially if it is for a special occasion. There's a very extensive cocktail menu, which you are given with your menu. The food here is prepared to a very high standard.Got a lovely chicken dish for main course with the creme brulee and a chocolate cocktail(quite strong!) for dessert. We were all very impressed with the food.Nice atmosphere here too.Sophisticated and glamorous I would say. Will definitely return.

I visited this restaurant recently with a group for a birthday. We were seated upstairs. The ambience was good in that there was great background music being played while we ate and the interior is very impressive. The food itself was very tasty,I opted for the chicken breast main course with mash potato and a side portion of their famous Spanish fries. These were served with cheese and olives and were lovely.Others at my table ordered the fajitas and these looked impressive also.I would say the one thing that lets it down is the price of it's food especially the main courses. We were all of the same opinion at this party. If you are going here I recommend you try one of the famous cocktails.Their banana and strawberry daiquiris are very flavoursome and enjoyable.
Restaurant response:
Hi,
Just wanted to say we are glad you enjoyed your recent trip to cork, and thrilled that SoHo played a part in that enjoyment.
Thank you so much for mentioning us on menu pages as well, we really appreciate it!
I am sorry that you weren't happy with our prices. We try to be very competitive with the prices around town and generally feel like we do a good job of this. I do hope you will give us another chance some time soon.
Kindest Regards

Just dont bother. Penty of nicer restaurants in Cork. Overpriced for type of food served.
Restaurant response:
Hi,
First off, please let me say, I am very sorry that you were unhappy with the service you received on your visit to our restaurant.
We try very hard to ensure that the service we provide is always the best it can possibly be, as this is obviously a crucial part of working in the service industry.
With that in mind, I would appreciate it if you could tell me more about when you came in, who served you, and what they did that made you feel under appreciated as a guest.
There is obviously no obligation on you provide this information, but I can use it to find what happened and why, and prevent it from happening again.
The next time you are in, if anything is not perfect, please do bring it to the attention of the manager on duty as soon as possible so we can do our best to resolve the issue there and then!

Used to love the place but it has really gone downhill. The menu is old and boring seriously needs an upgrade. Our food didnt taste fresh, was more re heated. Only thing that is still any way nice from soho is the chicken wings. The fajitas are ridiculously overpriced and you have to pay extra if you want more than 3 sides (eg lettuce, salsa, sour cream etc) There was only my group of four and another couple in there and we were waiting at least a half hour for starters. Will not be going back.
Restaurant response:
Hi,
Just wanted to say we are sorry that you felt our standards are slipping, but we are trying very hard to be the best that we can be. It's been a long time since you left this review, but part of our latest effort to improve is responding to all reviews and feed back.
Maybe you have back in since, but if not, please do give us another try and if you like to ask for me personally I will make sure you are looked after. Speaking of which, I should mention that we never charged extra for additional sides with the fajitas, it was just poorly worded on the menu, and in fact these days we automatically give a bit of everything with the fajitas and are always happy to supply more of any side you like.
If you do pop in again and anything is not perfect, please bring it to the attention of the manager on duty straight away so we can resolve the issue immediately.
Kindest regards

Stopped off here after a break in Cork. First impressions were good, nice airy bar, lovely Christmas decorations and the menu looked good with plenty of choice. I ordered Blackened Chicken Quesadilla's, with sour cream, salsa and guacamole dips. There was hardly any chicken and they were destroyed by too much cheese, also the salsa and guacamole were very obviously out of a jar. Guacamole was inedible. My husband had a chicken jambalaya which was described lovely on the menu but was just ok. Two mains, two glasses of house wine and two coffees came to just under €50 which is expensive for lunchtime. Service was ok, cutlery that was put down in front of us wasn't polished and had water marks. Simple things that let an otherwise nice bar/restaurant down.
