Went to O' Neill's for a carvery on a Saturday afternoon. I love the atmosphere in there. Really unique and very Irishy feel. It was pretty cold though which was the main negative in terms of atmosphere. Had a plate of veggies and stuffing. It was good, but not great. The service was quite friendly from the chefs. I couldn't believe when I was charged €8 just for veggies though. Seemed very steep in comparison to other carveries around Dublin. Will probably be back when showing visitors around Dublin, but maybe not as a regular at the carvery...

Came here today for lunch with my boyfriend. The carvery is excellent as always, with loads of choice and good knowledgeable service. The atmosphere here is good, and on game days is incredible. There are so many hidden corners and screens in every one of them, that the six nations or cup matches make this place a must, just get there early for a seat between the bar and the screen! The food is good, but as always they are too liberal with the salt. With the cavery over ten euro and the soup at over four euro, it is more expensive than I would like, and for a couple euro less, I would frequent it far more often. However, great service as always, and the staff are always happy to help and change the channel on a screen, or turn up the volume on a match if you request it. Very happy

I recently went to O'Neill's with some visitors from out of town. We had Sunday lunch carvery style. The choies for the carvery are extensive including, ham, turkey, lamb, beef, chicken, fish etc. Also they come with vast quantities of side dishes. The vegetarian choices are somewhat limited. I ordered the veg lasagne, but they didn't have it, so I ended up getting the aubergine bake. Everyone seemed to be pleased with his or her meal, and the service was excellent. O'Neill's is a very nice place to bring visitors espeically since they have a very extensive beer selection, including many Irish craft brews that are difficult to get elsewhere, and in the evenings they have live music.
