On a recent trip to Cork, we met up with friends at the Liberty Grill for dinner. Of the four of us, I am a fussy vegetarian, we had a vegan and two meat eaters. Its a lovely comfortable, warm environment, and the staff were friendly and attentive too. To have a choice of 3 veggie burgers is pretty much unheard of in a restaurant that is not solely vegetarian. I was absolutely spoiled for choice. I went for a nutburger with vegan cheese (as the waitress was not sure whether their normal cheese was vegetarian). It was just delicious and a great size portion too. My hubby had a meat burger and prawns and loved both also. The key lime pie for dessert was absolutely delicious and Id have it again right now if I could. Fairly priced wine, music but not too loud - overall it was a great night and Id definitely dine there again

Came to Cork for my birthday and I had seen this restaurant online getting good reviews so i wanted to try it out. From the very beginning of our visit everything was flawless. Perfect seat given right at the front window with a beautiful breeze....like being outside in the sun but still private. Both servers who dealt with us were professional, friendly and helpful. I had already planned on havign the eggs benedict so i didn't change my mind even though the menu is varied and all sounds appealing. I had a virgin bellini...pregnant so no alcohol but it was nice enough to make it feel like a special treat. Husband had the american breakfast for under €10. Essentially the eggs benedict really but without the amazing sauce and after tasting mine he was annoyed he had't gone for same. But his came with OJ and tea and like mine the eggs were perfect. How someone can make eggs so perfect i don't know. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and care is spent in their preparation. To finish off the meal and because we are great british bake off fans we decided to see if Paul hollywood excitement for Key Lime Pie was warranted and i'm not sure if Key Lime Pie is always this good as it was my first taste but it was the most delicious dessert we both had and we will forever be searching for it in any restaurant we go to. We were only in Cork for 24 hrs and we returned to this restaurant again and ordered 2 eggs benedict and 2 key lime pies without looking at the menu. If you're visiting Cork this place is not to be missed. The finest dining experience i have ever had, Can't wait to go back.

The food was good and the service was excellent. The waiters are very kind and professional. The menu was not so rich and various as i expected . In italy we don't go to a restaurant to eat a burger , I expected a more finest cuisine but for the local standards , i think that it's a good restaurant.

Had lunch in the Liberty Grill and it was great, as usual. They always have a few lunch and brunch specials and the waiting staff will be honest and helpful with advice. Even though you often have to queue at busy times like Saturday lunchtime, it's worth the wait, and you are never rushed even if people are waiting on tables. One of my favourite places to go.

Food, service, atmosphere all fabulous and reasonably priced. There are loads of interesting dishes to choose from and nothing like a nice champagne cocktail to start the meal. Brunch is also fantastic. My only quibble is that they're not open sundays but I suppose they have to have a day off! By far the best choice of restaurant in Cork.

She had a steack sandwich and it was delicious, the steak is the same marinade that they use for the steak in the salad and it is tender and juicy. it was served on toasted sourdough and i got one slice!! yum! I ordered the special crab salad. full of white meat and unctious. i had a fab glas of Picpoule with it . the service is always great and the food even better. Just fab

Been here for dinner but this was my first time for lunch and this restaurant is just as good. Lovely friendly, a really nice and good value menu in a comfortable dining setting. Food is available all day from breakfast to brunch, lunch and dinner. Beacause of the menus the restaurant attracts all age groups.

While I generally enjoyed my experience in Liberty Grill and would probably recommend it I found my food to be a little bland and the service to be a little awkward. The menu read very well and all the food is fresh however it lacked any real discerning tastes as if the chef was scared to really use the flavours. I found it quite expensive for the basic meal I received also. I would go and try again though.

The Liberty Grill is a place I come back to a few times a year as my (relatively grown up) children like the burgers there. I'll often choose a burger myself ( a sign of their quality as, snob that I am, I wouldn't normally be seen dead eating such a prosaic dish) Service was friendly and speedy - it was early ( 6.30 pm) but the place was already busy. They needed the table at 8.30 but that was fine by us. The ingredients were fresh, food was well prepared and presented and the coffee was excellent ( always important) The only downside was the loud banter from a party group near us who were obviously getting ready for a night on the town = but that's hardly the restaurant's fault. All in all, a place I'll be revisiting before long.

You have to go to this place for breakfast! Wow! The menu for breakfast is extensive and excellent. The food is fantastic. I had poached eggs with sourdough toast. I shared a cheese toastie. It was excellent. The area its located in feels a little run down, with many businesses in the area closed. But this cafe had a booming business. There was a queue to get in. I haven't seen this happen in Ireland before for a breakfast place. The service was not great. There seemed to be a lot of servers but not much work being done. The layout of the restaurant isnt great. There is a big table in the centre being used up with "servers things" like cutlery, napkins, jams, newspapers etc. A waste of space that could be used to sit some of the waiting customers.
