Modern, innovative, international cuisine using local fresh produce, specialising in seafood dishes but vegetarians and carnivores are also welcome! All menus reflect the seasonal changes and weather permitting customers can dine al fresco in our heated courtyard garden overlooking a waterfall, which is floodlit by night.

Greenes is the ideal venue for pre theatre dining with a keenly priced early bird 3 course menu which is available from 18.00h - 19.00h each evening. Our fully licenced restaurant is popular so reservations are advisable. We are located through the Cobblestone Arch beside the Waterfall at 48 Mac Curtain Street, Cork.

Excellent location near the centre of Cork, it has a beautiful setting on a cobbled lane, with a cascading waterfall and pond as a backdrop. The staff are friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. The food is fresh, tasty and stylish, and perfect for a pre-theatre evening. The wine menu is extensive and well priced, but I like that it has a full bar available with draughtt craft beers from the Franciscan Well Brewery. a local Cork concern. All in all, a delightful treat and a pleasure to recommend.

The food and wine were nice. We ordered from the A La Carte menu and were eating by about 9.30 PM. The service was very slow but this is due to how busy they were. The service did seem a bit 'headless chicken-esque' at some points. My main issue here is that it is so cramped. We happened to be seated on a nice table ,but so close to the 2 tables next to us that we couldn't hear each other when speaking. It was so loud. They could benefit by reducing the amount of tables and spreading them out. Although I liked the food, I don't think that I would eat here again. It did not make for a relaxing evening meal. My ears are still ringing!

After a day in hospital for a biopsy, i rang greens restaurant and asked to see if i could still get the earlie bird, because i was going to be late and past the time of the earlie bird menu and i also wanted to change the table from two to four people. they were so welcoming and helpful on the phone and said it would be no problem.when we arrived they gave us a table with a view of the waterfall. from the start to the finish of the meal the service from all staff was nothing but perfect, they were all very helpful, caring and ensured they attended to our ever need. The food appealed to all our senses ,appearance, smell and taste.we were first given a glass with a beetroot foam with natural yogurt and topped with freeze dried yogurt, complements of the chef.then i had my starter of crispy goat's cheese balls served with fig jam, pickled vegetables and beetroot puree. The dish was served on a white plate ,which made the colour's stand out the way the dish was plated nearly made you not want to eat it, as it was like a work of art,but each bit was even better than the next. For main course i had slow cooked beef served with parsnip puree, shiitake mushrooms and jue, topped with potato crisps.the meat was so soft you only had to touch it with a fork and it would fall apart and the mushroom, jue and parsnip puree made the dish have a lovey rich flavor. Then i had dessert i choice a white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee served with homemade vanilla ice cream ,shortbread biscuits and raspberry and mango couli, it was served on a slate and i have to say it was the best dessert i have ever had. On our exit from the restaurant, all the staff ensured to ask was everything ok and said have a lovely evening. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and i will defiantly be returning again soon. Its first class food in the heart of cork city.
