I told the waitress that I couldn’t make up my mind between two items on the menu and asked for her opinion and she replied “well do you want to eat” main course was average at best. Desert was nice. Staff are like robots, serious lack of personality/sense of humour. Myself and partner went in with Great expectations but in this case it was a major let down.

I'm am disappointed to report such bad service on our night out in the corn store. We had to try to catch a waiters attention after 30 minutes after being seated to get a drink. We then again later had to do the same to try to order our food. The music was thumping and we couldn't hear anybody at our table. The food was slap dash and only ok. 3 plates of food went back untouched and none were questioned. There was no service at our table what so ever and the staff looked flustered and disorganised.

We couldn't get into the Restaurant we really wanted to try while in Cork so we wandered around and we came to this restaurant.I'm so Happy we didn't get into the restaurant of choice as this was such a great find. The staff were so friendly and professional. The restaurant got very busy while we were there but the service didn't dip.We had the Mozzarella en Croute and Fish cakes for starters. For Main course we had the Cod which was really really fresh and Steak which was cooked perfectly. We had a Creme Brulee for dessert, it was very good.We loved everything about this restaurant and we will return next time we're in Cork.

I ate here for a late lunch, we were a party of 4. It was busy enough even though it was in between lunch and dinner time. Service is extremely friendly and polite, but a little slow. The menu is big, lots more than their fish and steak speciality. Food was ok, nothing to write home about, portions were certainly big, but overall lacked flavour. Quinoa salad was a bit bland and the butternut squash and goats cheese canneloni was just a dish of mush. One of us had the burger which was apparently very tasty, and the desserts were a winner all round, particularly the creme brulee and the lemon posset.

My self and my wife had a meal here on one of our very rare nights out. nSeated upstairs. Very disappointed with both meals. nThai green chicken curry like dish water. Had to search for the chicken in it. nBurger, nothing to write home about. A measly 10 chips with it. nVery over priced for what you get. nWould not recommend or return!!!!

6 of us went here for dinner New Years Night. The restaurant was lovely, nice candles on the table which created a nice ambience. Myself and my partner shared the chicken wings for starters which were lovely and really whet the palate. For mains we had the chateaubriand which was very tasty and filling. The staff were efficient however, one of our party ordered a glass of red wine which took ages to arrive and we had to remind the waitress to get it. The only downfall would be that when ordering some of the mains, it is only the meat, none of the vegetables are included and they have to be ordered as sides for additional prices. Usually I would expect at least potatoes with the meat for mains. Overall it was a lovely restaurant, nice location with nice food and I would definitely return when back in Cork.

food was amazing. best I've had in a long time. the steaks were jus delicious .althought the early bird is expensive , it is well worth it. the sticky toffee pudding desert was the best I've ever had. although the cocktails we order were almost 13 euro each they were the best I've ever had. i would highly recommend getting the hemming way cocktail , it was just divine. would definitely return

I booked on line and made the mistake of booking in a different county, but not realising it at the time, I know must of still be hungover with the New Years celebrations..we headed off to have our meal...no booking!!!..feeling hungry and embarrassed, the gentleman was so helpful and understanding he accepted my booking for 6.30..even tho it was quiet busy we were seated straight away..the waiter arrived very chatty and immaculate uniform.. I ask him to choose the wine for me, as I wasn't going to make another mistake, he made a good choice.. The service was top class, I had fish mm. Hake..it was really nice, my friend had steak she enjoyed it as well, cooked to her liking..the waiter kept asking us were we ok, but not bothering you either...we had no fault with the service and food... The only thing I wasn't pleased with, I found the restroom untidy, and the cubicle was dirty with tissues on the floor..

Myself and girlfriend whent to the cornstore last Saturday night and had the most amazing experience. We went in on the recommendation from a friend to have the chateaux Briand which wasn't on that night but in its place there was a 35 day aged rib eye steak on the bone to share, we had the 870g one! This was one of the best pieces of meat i ever tasted. We were informed that it would take some time to cook so we had some lovely starters a prawns pil pil and scallops and black pudding.....on hine sight if we shared one it would have been plenty! The steak arrived in a copper dish carved cooked perfectly with a selection of sauces. Needless to say we skipped the dessert but our waitress talked us into having some after dinner cocktails. Which i really enjoyed i most admit even dough I’m not really a cocktail type of guy! She jokingly said my one was going to have whisky, which it did....., top class

Went here for my sisters birthday a few days ago, went for the 25 euro set menu. Atmosphere was great, the staff are lovely! The only complaint would be the sides/veg that came with the dishes. Not much came with the steak and what did come with some main courses was only average. The main courses, starters and deserts themselves are fab! I would recommend this restaurant!

Having dined in the Cornstore in Limerick a few times we said we would try the cornstore in Cork, a bit disappointing I must say overall, the service when we got it was very swift but we had to chase it to get it, food was average enough, dessert was nice though, a bit pricey for what we got but when in Rome.....

A very enjoyable meal, complemented by the very helpful and friendly staff. Albeit slightly disappointed by the dessert itself, and the selection of deserts on the early bird menu, the quality of the starter and mains was excellent. ( ps bring back the blackpudding mash) oh and sweets with the bill ;-)

Went to Cornstore on a busy Saturday with friends and it was great, we were slightly early so waited in the bar and ordered some cocktails. No sooner did we order them, than we whisked to our table and our drinks arrived a few moments later. This top service remained with us for the rest of the night as we were well looked after, weren't kept waiting and the staff couldn't of been more helpful. For dinner we shared the Goats Cheese Crostini for starter. which we all agreed was delicious and I had the hake for main, which was amazing. No dessert for any of us though, by then we were nicely full and opted to cocktails instead, which were very yummy. Especially the BBC! Heaven!

We went here for my 9 year olds birthday dinner ,even though nite time staff still made my son very welcome. The staff were really nice and were very attentive esp. to my son. The food was gorgeous couldnt fault only that I couldnt finish it large portions' thats a good thing' and to top it all they brought my son out his chocolate cake desert with a candle for his birthday and the staff sang happy birthday also. Defiently reccomend and will go back. Good food, good portions and was good value on that night .
