I and a friend visited Spice indian Restaurant on 11th november 2014. We were looking forward to a nice meal and relaxing and having a lovely time in the restaurant. We were given our table and given the menu. The waiter took our order and shortly afterwards, suggested that we order a take-away meal and politely asked us to leave the restaurant. We did as we were told. We have no cause for complaint about the take-away meal but I'm complaining in the strongest possible manner about the way in which we were treated. In the event of it ever happening, there would be serious consequences. Yours Sincerely Anna

Words cannot describe how fantastic this restaurant is. The food was outstanding both in taste and presentation. The staff were excellent, helpful and happy. Service was fantastic. The facilities were spotlessly clean, which I think says a lot about a place. I know where my next meal out will be and my next takeaway. I certainly won`t have to think twice about it. What a wonderful experience we had. Well done Spice, ye seem to have got it perfect.

I have visited this restaurant a few times now and keep coming back. Our experience has been good every time, be it for lunch or dinner. My only real complaint is that the place is never very busy and is somewhat lacking in atmosphere. On the plus side, staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The food is very good, with the Sunday Lunch offereing exceptional value at €13.95 for 3 courses, and kids get 3 courses for €5.95 (portions were nearly as big as the adults!) We fed 4 adults and 4 kids for less than €80! The onion bhadji's were superb and the lamb bhuna gorgeous and very aromatic. The kids adored the spring rolls and chicken korma, and of course the ice cream to follow. Unbeatable for lunch or early bird, and the do a good take away also!

This is a great restaurant, regardless of your knowledge or experience of indian cusine. Staff are fantastic, restaurant is spotless and the food is top notch. For the curry heads - this is a contemporary indian restaurant which has focused on emphasing the quality of the ingredients used rather than the spice. I've sampled a lot of the menu dishes and the food has been designed to appeal to a wider pallete range. To put it simply, this is a wine restaurant and I'd highly recommend No.23 shiraz with any of the restaurants dishes. Lamb has always been top quality as has everything else. Chutney's are yummy, pilau rice is so good but what I really like about this place is that every single dish is unmistakably theirs. This restaurant does offer some seriously hot dishes but as someone who loves spicy food, it will appeal more to the milder taste buds. To put it simply.. I'd highly recommend it and hat's off to the chef's and staff. Oh.. and their meat samosa's are made with chicken rather than the traditional lamb and are seriouslyyyyyyyy good.

I am extremely unhappy with the level of professionalism shown to myself and my friends, who had travelled from Dublin to spend the weekend with us, I am absolutely appalled with the staff member "Waiter." Our problems started at the start of the meal, we were given 4 half poppadums between 4 people, and when we were finished we asked could we have some more (We would have happily paid for these) but we were told by "Waiter" that we would not eat our dinner and we should not have more poppadums, this was a very rude remark to make and undermined myself and my friends, making us look like children. To add to this we were waiting for over 30 minutes for our starters to arrive, so we were quite hungry. Not once throughout the meal were we asked whether the food was satisfactory, or whether the meal was good, if we were happy with the service however it appeared that "Waiter" was too busy trying to impress his other customers. When myself and friends had finished eating our main meal, we waited approximately 30 minutes if not more for a member of staff to clear the table for us, and still even after this time, our table wasn't cleared, we weren't asked whether we would like dessert, tea/coffee. Robbie one of the people who were in the group then walked to the front desk to speak to "Waiter" and air that we were not happy with the service provided, and that it was not right to be waiting over 30 minutes for our plates to be cleared. "Waiter" ushered us away from him and the front desk muttering the words " Sit Sit Sit, I will make you happy." What happened next I cannot believe and I am absolutely appalled with, "Waiter" approached our table and started shouting at my friends and myself because we were not happy with the service provided, he stated that "All of his customers loved him" even though, he was shouting as loud as he could (he was also shaking in anger) and all the other customers in the restaurant were looking and quite obviously felt uncomfor
