The award-winning MacNean House and Restaurant in County Cavan was opened in 1989 by Nevan Maguire’s parents. Leading food critic Georgina Campbell has called this restaurant and luxury guesthouse a national treasure, citing it as the perfect guesthouse for a wonderful haven for anyone seeking a warm welcome and a relaxing break.

Neven Maguire took over the restaurant in 2001 and he is an Irish celebrity chef and television personality from county Cavan. He re-launched MacNean House and Restaurant in 2007 with a great new look and an improved menu that particularly specialized in presenting his well-known award-winning dishes to the patrons of MacNean House.
