I have always loved Hunters, and brought my mother here for mother's day. I'm giving it a perfect score, because it was by far the best meal and the loveliest restaurant experience this year. We had a beautiful table in the main dining room by the window, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We both had the pate to start, and the sole and lamb for mains. The accompanying veg was amazing, with a fantastic carrot and parsnip bake. Coffee and dessert in the lounge and a walk in the gardens finished off a gorgeous spring day. A true gem, and I encourage everyone to take a day out there.

The setting is old world charm, it is a beautiful old style building with a the most relaxing gardens where tea/coffee can be served on the lawn weather permitting. I would visit the restaurant frequently for Sunday Lunch and you are always greeted with a welcoming smile and are always remembers. The food is beautiful especially their sorbets. There is never any problems asking for more and the veg. served is from their own garden. I bring my young son along and he is always catered for perfectly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

What a wonderful setting, just off the busy N11 you are transported back to a peaceful time. Lunch menu is excellent, catering for all tastes. The gardens are splendid and relaxing. I had figs with parma ham salad and balsamic dressing followed by Wicklow Lamb which was tender and served on a bed of savoury stuffing. And then fresh stawberries and cream ended off by freshly brewed coffee The staff are very pleasant and the Manager is so welcoming and attentive. Please take your time over the lunch and relax amongst diners who appreciate home cooking served in what can only be described as everybody's dining room they wished they had grown up in!! 4 course lunch today is €27.95.

I love this place, stuck in it's own little time warp. The food was excellent and great variety on the menu. I had the duck and it was cooked to perfection, the leag was melt in the mouth although the breast was a little dry. We went in a big group and were looked after like long lost friends, the welcome was fabulous making our visitos feel very special.Highly reccommended, €50 a head for set menu so a little expensive but you pay for the atmosphere and general 'irishness' of it

Was a guest at a works do, so no idea of price. A nice set menu, little short on meat. Food was fresh and well served. Lovely open fires. Definitely a place for older couples and I doubt children would be very comfortable..

Went for a Luncheon without reservation and staff were very welcoming and accomodating. Had a drink in the bar while our table was being prepared and gave us time to peruse the menu. The roaring fire was just lovely on the cold day and the bowl of crisps and peanuts with our drinks was a nice detail. Vege meal wasnt on the menu but the chef organised cous-cous with roasted veg in a homemade basil pesto and a side salad, starters was a gorgeous carrot and coriander soup with home made brown scones - delish! My aunt had baked trout for starters and salmon for mains. Desserts were very tempting, I had cheese platter which was tasty and a 6 vareities of Irish/Wicklow cheeses, my aunt had a creme caramel which could have been better. But the charm and everyhting else makes up for a flopped creme caramel! Staff are excellent, the lady of the hotel is a character and the hotel is full of olde world charm. More suitable to bring your parents or travelling aunts/uncles than a meal with freinds, but I love it. when the weather is fine, the garden are truly lovely and peaceful, full of colour, charm and wonderful scents.

Hunter's Hotel is one of the oldest coaching inns in Ireland, dating from c.1700. and as such you can feel its rather Edwardian atmosphere. Old world charm is the keystone of this restaurant, with antiques, polished brass, heirlooms, vintage prints, open fireplaces, and splendid gardens. For our meal we both had the specialties of the house roast Wicklow lamb served with potatoes minted herbs & vegetables fresh from the garden according to the menu This is popular spot for Sundayluch so you'd need to book. I enjoyed it and I'd go back

Went for lunch here on Wednesday with work colleagues and it was an absolute delight! We were all truly satisfied with everything. The food was delicious. We had a great time and felt like we were in our gran's dining room....cosy and inviting. Will be back soon for the yummy wicklow lamb...mmmm...

This Place is just perfect. The best kept gardens, the most casual yet sophisticated and stylish service imaginable. Relaxed yet formal. A perfect combination. It's like being in your grandparents country house with all the doting that goes with it. Always a sure bet. You know what to expect. The food is also amazing. No faults to be found.

This is a fantastic place; my aunt and uncle live next door so we have been a few times. The decor is something else, real old country manner style. You actually feel like your eating in the sitting room, the bar is tiny. The owner is an elderly lady and she certainly looks after her customers. The grounds are so beautiful; no wonder Wicklow is called the Garden of Ireland. The food is outstanding. If you’re in Wicklow, look this place up.

Hunter's Hotel is fabulous. I was taken here for a three course lunch with work and I think everyone loved every minute of it. The staff were so helpful and the food was beautiful. Everything was cooked to perfect. The hotel is situated in a lovely rural setting while being easily accessible. Go and eat there!!
