We were staying in the hotel and the bar was packed so we decided to eat in the restaurant. It seemed like we were inconveniencing the girl at the front desk when we asked for a table. Most of the room was set up for breakfast, all she had to do was move a few cups. The table was very wobbly and the waitress did not offer to move us. We asked and were moved. The food wasn't great. The steak was overcooked and the cheese that was supposed to be in the chicken seemed non-existent. Dessert wasn't much better. The profiteroles seemed like they had been frozen. The cheesecake had a weird cake layer and a strange texture. Service was awful. We had to ask for the bill 3 times while the waiter walked aimlessly around the place. It was ridiculously expensive for what we had.

Myself and my boyfriend were staying in the Tulfarris Golf Resort and the dinner was included in the package we got. I have to say in both our opinions, this was the nicest meal we have had out in a very long time, we have not stopped talking about the food since we came home!! I got melon to start and himself the Seafood Chowder and both were delicious, we then both got the Indian Style Chicken Curry and OMG this was just scrumptious! We were too full to have a dessert which was also included so the waiter told us that when we were ready to have it, to ask at the bar and they would send it down!! The only negativity I would say was the service was a bit too rushed but all in all! excellent and we will be definitely back again with friends!

Myself and my partner ate here early on a Sunday evening, and found the food disappointed. We both had melon to start, and this was a nice refreshing dish, but the main course of stir fried beef left a lot to be desired. The veg was far from crunchy, and the beef looked like it was leftover from a Sunday roast that was probably served earlier that day. It was very grisly too. Dessert of carrot cake was nice though... Nothing spectacular, but enjoyable. I had heard good things about the food in this restaurant, but it did not live up to its reputation unfortunately.

We went here as part of a package deal. The room was big and echoey, making it feel like we were having a conversation in a swimming pool. The service was fine but they seemed very understaffed with four waiters and three managers who went around talking to the diners. Odd. The food wasn't great. We had the house salad which was fine if basic and a chicken terrine/paté combination. The paté was nice but the terrine was plastic, tasteless and had been dyed into a tricolour! For mains we had spinach and ricotta tortellini in a mushroom sauce which was stodgy and salty and salmon on a bed of egg noodles and vegetables. The salmon was overcooked and salty. The veg were from a frozen mixed bag of stir fry and the whole lot was doused in a chilli sauce from blenders. We looked at the dessert menu but it was all bought in stuff so we beat a hasty retreat!

A group of us ate in Lime Tree Restaurant and had a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and efficient without being intrusive. The food was very good but i would have appreciated a bit more bread with my pate! All steaks ordered were cooked perfectly and the chicken with mushroom rissoto was yummy! The location is beautiful as well.

Had a lovely meal here at the Lime Tree Restaurant at Tulfarris House Hotel. We hda a drink at the bar beforehand and had to wait quite a while to be served. The restaureant was really busy but we were seated quickly and our order swiftly taken. I had the pate to start, delicious and my partner had the soup - was very impressed. I had the steak as my main, done to perfection with tasty mashed potatoes and veggies. My partner had the chicken and was very satisfied. I chose the cheesecake for dessert - was just OK, didn't finish it but maybe I was too full. Staff were efficient, friendly and attentive, a credit to the hotel. Food was delicious. Would definately recommend it with a walk around the lovely grounds afterwards.

Visited here recently. Somewhat off the beaten track, but worth the search . The food was first class and the service was also brilliant. The meal plus overnight b/b cost was really amazing. Check it out soon, it cant last.

I stayed up in Tulfarris, played golf and got a nice enough meal for an amzing price. The golf course wasn't fully open as it was flooded but I'd imagine in drier weather it would have been great. Fore the meal it there wasn't a huge choice as we booked an overnight stay including a meal so we had a set menu. There was however enough choice in mains and a few interesting things for starters. The Pate was lovely as was the goats cheese salad. I got chicken for the main event and it was cooked nicely. I also tried the steak and found it a little dry and overcooked but that was only a small thing when you consider the deals that are being done there at the moment. The bar was very lively for a hotel in the middle no where really and there was a great atmosphere in the hotel as a whole. I'd go again.

Tulfarris is a lovely setting and has recently been refurbished. I had lunch here last week and it was lovely. Service was a bit slow but was friendly. If the weather is nice you can have lunch outside overlooking the golf course.

Had dinner here with a party of six adults and three children. The children were served immediately which was great as the parents could peruse the menu in peace. Although the food is very ordinary, steaks, fish etc. it was all quite tasty. The steak eaters did say that the steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. As this was a special offer there was three or four choices on each course. The price per person was €59 and this also included bed and breakfast. Enjoyable and fantastic value., and small children go free.

The food was faultless, served in the restaurant with great views over the golf course and countryside. The staff were a bit jittery, but this could be put down to the fact that it is recently re-opened and most of them seemed to be new
