We all expect more from our restaurants and bars today, so it's comforting to know that, as far as we can, our food is sourced locally from our Irish farmers, cheesemongers and suppliers. Imagine delicious pork belly from Tipperary, fresh fish off the boats in Howth, creamy cheese straight from the farm in Cork and freshly laid eggs from the farm up the road… mouth-watering. All this means satisfaction, fun and great food are guaranteed!

We were staying in the hotel and the bar was packed so we decided to eat in the restaurant. It seemed like we were inconveniencing the girl at the front desk when we asked for a table. Most of the room was set up for breakfast, all she had to do was move a few cups. The table was very wobbly and the waitress did not offer to move us. We asked and were moved. The food wasn't great. The steak was overcooked and the cheese that was supposed to be in the chicken seemed non-existent. Dessert wasn't much better. The profiteroles seemed like they had been frozen. The cheesecake had a weird cake layer and a strange texture. Service was awful. We had to ask for the bill 3 times while the waiter walked aimlessly around the place. It was ridiculously expensive for what we had.
