Popped in on the way to arklow for a bite friday night. We just had the pub grub, goujons chips burger etc. Food was ok, chips bit hard under done. Desserts were a little overpriced and dissapointing. not the worst food ever but ceretanly not the best for the price we paid.

Well not to much to say on this one. I had the soup which was not nice and very thick. May have been sitting in the soup kettle for the best part of the day. We gave this back and the girl was very nice about it. My main course was very nice as was my partners. The Scones only come in portions of two and look like they are bought in. Most decent hotels make there own scones or at very least uses the likes of Odlums mix. Anything but starchy supermarket ones. Anyway really liked my Cajun Chicken Baggutte and my partners meal was also very nice. Good value aswell. We had a few drinks here one night and overal is grand spot with nice staff.

Had a late lunch here and it was great value for lovely food. Had roast loin of pork with vegetables and it was 11 euros. I got so much that I could not finish it. The service was quick and very friendly. I'll be back again

The Carvery Sunday lunch here is fab! Always agreat choice of meals ans desserts on offer. Also theportions are massive! I can never finish what is on my plate. Veggies are always so fresh and tasty. Cakes are to die for. Great value too. A main meal is only €10.95 and there is never any room left for cakes. Defo worth a visit.

I ate here in the Summer and I have to say that I was not really impressed with the place. We ate in the restaurant part. The food that we did get was not actually that bad but the service was pretty bad. We did not have one or two people waiting on us, instead it seemed that every worker there was waiting on all tables so you never really saw the same person twice. This caused confusion when they inevitably got our orders wrong and you had to try to explain what you had ordered. It also was confusing when one person came back and told you what you had ordered was no longer available so you ordered something else, only for another staff member to come and tell you the same thing on two or three more occasions. It seemed that there was no communication between staff and as a result they constantly came to us during the evening to explain things that had already been explained. Also, when we asked for variations in a meal and were told no problem, the meal came without what we asked for. Any finally, many of the things listed on the menu were not available so the choice was very limited. However, as stated above, the taste of the food itself was good but it was very overpriced.

I brought three 49 seater coaches on Sunday 27 July, and here is what I have written to the hotel today: Thanks for looking after us so well yesterday (Sunday) both in the morning for t/c with freshly baked scones, butter, cream and jam. And also for looking after us for evening dinner. Between the three coaches, and that's a lot of diners, we never got a single critizism - only expressions of thanks and gratitude for most satisfactory meals, service and ambience. We will most certainly be booking with you again for our 2009 outing. D.

Have eaten bar food in the Arklow Bay many times and always found it tasty and excellent value - confit duck leg with red onion marmalade or the mussels with crusty bread are my favourites. Anyway decided to try the restaurant this time and was pleasantly suprised. Best service I've had in a long time, fab food and an amazing Spanish red - can't wait to go back again for the chocolate brownie !

We were staying in the Hotel so our meal was included in the package, I believe the 3 course should have been 35 Euro... The Food was excellent, We both had a mushroom Risotto starter that was out of this world! G had the steak which she found to be bang on. I had the Salmon. *** Washed down with a half bottle of wine (In Massive Glasses!) and a good dessert, Very Nice indeed... At the end of the day though, it is a hotel resturaunt and was full of kids the week we were there. The staff were grand, a little bit slow maybe but good food can excuse nearly anything..

Went here on a Sunday with the family. It was a carvery which was reasonably priced and was good quality. The service let the place down a little but I would recommend it if given the chance
