Just back from a weekend stay at druids glen, we ate in the restaurant on the first night and I have to say the food was delicious, we both had sweet potato soup to start and the venison for our main. The venison was beautifully cooked and melted in the mouth. Didn't get a desert as we were stuffed, the staff couldn't do enough for us. I will say it is a little pricey and they could do with reducing the prices, but I can't fault the food or the service,

My partner and I had dinner here this evening. The food was spectacular. I had goats cheese followed by baked halibut and plum and cinnamon crumble with lemon posset to finish. Beyond divine! Liam had rabbit terrine, strip loin steak and chocolate fondant. I had to stop him licking the plates! It's expensive but absolutely worth it!

Stayed in the hotel overnight with a couple of friends, and took advantage of the dinner offer also. I have to say, it was delicious. I had the chicken liver pate to start, and then the steak as my main, both were incredible. The otherhas smoked duck starter, the veg soup, lamb and chicken, and loved every bite. The staff were so friendly, and they really looked after us, refilling glasses and ensuring we had enough of everything at all times. Would highly recommend this location for an overnight break away with some seriously good food. My only criticism would be that the veg side order is served in cubes, and is not particularly appetizing in appearance or taste.

Met with a few friends for dinner and although on previous occassions I had not been impressed with the Brasserie, it has much improved. I opted for the vegetable soup which was tasty and homely followed by the Chicken which was very nice too. Portion sizes for main course were huge. I didnt pay the bill but understand it was very reasonable. Great outdoor area overlooking the golf course. Will definitely return sooner.

Went as part of the hotel package and had lunch and dinner there. There was ten of us in the group and everyone was reasonably happy with lunch- maybe a few grumbles that some of the chips were over cooked but overall everything was ok. I had the burger and it was yum. Dinner was much better though, the waitress was very attentive and friendly without being over the top. The goats cheese starter amazing and the lamb main I had melted in the mouth. The only thing that was disappointing was the dessert menu. I ended up with ice cream. Would certainly go again great value and you get to stay in a nice hotel afterwards.

Went with friends here for a 2DBB deal. The staff are fantastic, very accommodating and friendly. The food was very good, I had monksfish that was so tender, while my friends had succulent lamb (huge portion size). The desserts are divine too. Only issue I would have is with their soups. I had chowder the first evening and veg soup the second - both were bland and I had to heavily season. Also, why, why, why do they over-heat hotels?? I thought I was having hot flushes...but I am too young!!

Stayed here on a DBB deal - best Fish and Chips EVER in the bar! Dinner was delicious, but if you don't have kids with be absolutely sure to book a table down by the windows in the conservatory part of the restaurant, the rest of the restaurant is a bit too family oriented if you want a relaxed atmosphere. Four of us ate, all loved it.

This is a nice family restaurant and a good place to dine out with your kids. The food is good and reasonably priced. The wine list should satisy most diners needs. Excellent service from very friendly staff

Went to Druids Brasserie as part of a package deal which was really good value. Given the hotel is 5 star, had high expectations, however me and my boyfriend were disappointed with the quality of the food. We had the crab cakes and seafood chowder to start which were nothing special and the crab cakes were no more than regular fishcakes. I enjoyed my main of sea bass. However the sides which came with the food in no way suited the mains, these being onion rings and stirfried veg swimming in oil. A strange combination in my view. We shared a "warm chocolate mousse" for desset, which was cold in the middle and was more like an undercooked fondant. Given the good package deal, I stillenjoyed the experience. However if you were to pay full price, you would definitely feel hard done by!

Dined here on Saturday night and it was lovely. The restaurant was busy for Valentine's but I couldn't fault the place. The food was superb, the staff efficient and the atmosphere romantic and relaxing. The wine was beautiful also. This restaurant is definitely the place to go for a romantic meal for two.

We had dinner there on a Friday night and it was really busy. The waitress was lovely and extremely helpful. The food was very nice but very expensive for the portions given. The fish was outstanding and the risotto was nice but nothing special. The onion rings were very greasy and the dessert (bread and butter pudding) even though it was nice, it had too muh bread for my taste. With a bottle of house wine it came out quite expensive.

Ate there both nights of a 2 night stay in hotel. 1st night was part of package deal. Menu wasnt very varied just adaquate. Husband ordered steak which was perfectly cooked. It came with chips which were the nicest I've ever tasted & I'm not a lover of chips! I ordered pasta with veg - it was nice. Desserts were very sweet. Menu 2nd night was slightly better. Great if you like fish! Again food was cooked to perfection. Portion size were just right. We left feeling just full enough but not too full. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Be aware that water is offered with meal but if you dont stress that you want a jug of water they bring bottled-which is very expensive. Bill for 2nd night came to €100 but that included a lovely bottle of wine. Overall very pleasant meals were had and would recommend Druids for something special

Good food cost money but this good food was well worth every penny. The hotel is a little out of the way so having a drink means staying over. It was great to relax with a couple of drinks after. Worth a nite out.

Beautiful food, pleasant service. We ate in the restaurant twice over a 3 night break in the hotel. Flynns steakhouse no longer exists, they have added some steak options to the main restaurant menu. The prices are a little expensive but then most hotel restaurants are, the quality of food and presentation was fantastic. Opting for caesar salad on one of the nights, it served in the most unusual way. The pieces of the salad lettuce, chicken, croûtons and dressing were all served apart on the plate. This didn't put me off and I really enjoyed the salad. For mains we had the burger and lamb shank one night and bangers and mash and roast chicken on the second night. None of which could be faulted. The portions are generous. We enjoyed some lovely wines on both night, there are a few around the 25 euro mark with the rest more expensive. Service was excellent.

Druids isn't bad as a hotel restaurant, it's just the fact you know you'll be in the same room for your breakfast the next morning can be off putting. I had a steak which was very good and my wife enjoyed her chicken. We had our children with us and there was a kids buffet. For older children this would have been perfect but being charged €15 for our 4 year old who had about 5 chicken nuggets and a few chips was a bit much. Wine list was pricey but as the bar is across the hall we got some beers served. If you're staying in Druids Glen it's fine for one night.
