I had heard from friends the food here was good but my experience was not a good one. I went for dinner with a friend. We both had the chichen curry and we both thought it was one of the worst curry's we've ever had.Very bland,no kick to it at all. Now i'm not afraid to complain so i pointed out to the lady that the curry was not up to scratch but she just didn't want to know. I could have asked for the manager but didn't bother, just will not return EVER,first impressions etc.

On a recent trip to the Burnaby, we were greeted by a very friendly waitress, we then had a very pleasant meal, but unfortunately our visit was overshadowed by the unnaceptable and unprofessional manner of the so called manager. On St Patricks day we were appalled by his disinterested response to genuine complaints regarding unsatisfactory hygiene standards of the ladies' toilets. Not only were all the toilets blocked nor was there running water, yet they continued to serve food, - surely this is a health and safety issue! At the end of the day, our decission not to frequent this establishment again, is entirely based on the lack of interest and rudeness of the manager. Apparently this is a well known fact locally, and we are not the only consumers to share this view. With all the unemplyment out there i fail to see why he has not been replaced by someone more efficient.

Ate here on a recent steam train tour and enjoyed my experience. The service was provided by two men and two women who worked extremely hard in very busy circumstances. The food was very good in taste and portion size. I opted for a starter of potato skins which were lovely. For mains I had scampi and my two companions opted for fish and chips. To finish my companions had apple pie. I declined desert as I was too full from my starters and mains. This bar is just across the road from the train station. It is bright, airy and roomy inside. If you are in Greystones and fancy a quick nice lunch try here.

Was pleasantly surpised by the food here- it has much improved on a few years ago. It was very busy but the food came in good time and it was very tasty pub grub. Would definitely return when I'm in the mood for a burger or lasagna & chips type food.

Went for a quick bite last week in the Burnaby Lounge and bar. It looked busy from the outside and the menu read well so we decided to give it a go. We found a seat and were approached immediatley by a waitress who gave us a warm welcome, informed us of the specials and took our drinks order. We had a few questions about the menu on her return and she seemed to have a very good knowledge of the food she was serving. I ordered the fish of the day which was beautifully cooked and my friend had the Burger which was also very good, the side portions were also very good and an ample amount. It came quickly, which was a relief as we were in a hurry. From my view the three waitress seemed to running the show, with little or no help from the bar. After our meal i went to the bar to pay and a barman, who i presume was a manager literally grunted at me and pointed to the far side of the bar at, what i presume was where i should pay. Very odd. Overall, it was a good dining experiance and friendly service, but the atmopshere was quite stale and im not sure if i'd go back to have a drink there.

Went into the burnaby for lunch. Decided to have a drink first, staff were slow and rude and unhelpful. Took our seat in the corner and had a long wait for anyone to take our food order (in fairness there were two waitresses who probably didn't spot us straight away however the bar staff should have told them we were there). The food came out quickly and was nice, I had the steak which was lovely actually superior to most steak and chips off a 'pub grub' menu. There was a delicious side salad and a good portion of chips which made for a good meal. Friend had chicken gougans which were lovely too. The prices are also very reasonable. I would actually go back however the bar staff let the place down. There was also horse racing blaring on the TV which spoiled the atmosphere. All in all if you can put up with that, the food is great and reasonably priced

I can see what the last person means with the bar staff not cleaning tables brought glasses up to barman who was on his phone most of the time looks like his new toy. Other barman was chatting later found out he was a manager the two girls were doing all the work blonde girl was trying to serve tables and pull her own drinks. Bit of a joke guys but food was fab our waitress was very friendly country girl would help the place if they got some help from behind the bar it would run smoother put away your phone and serve some customers. i came to greystones from bray for something different and different it was...

Overall, the pub is a disaster. There seems to be a divide within the staff - I was told that a bar person couldnt clear our table as it was the waiting staffs job! The food was overpriced and bland. There are far better pub lunches to be had in this area, Id never go back.

I was here with two friends a number of weeks ago. We just popped in to get some pub grub before heading out. We all got the chowder and I have to say it was delicious and very well priced too. The atmosphere's not great in here, but then it is a pub.

We had lunch here on Saturday, sitting in the very pleasant garden. Boyf had bacon and cabbage with mashed potato and I had an open tuna sandwich with very nice brown bread. Prices were quite reasonable. I wasn't too impressed with the coffee but the staff were attentive and it was touch and go but it didn't rain. I would definitely return and possibly nab the prime table under the parasol.

Popped in for lunch on Sunday. The place was buzzing. The menu is small on a Sunday but they have the usual roast. I had the Boston Prawn sambo, absolutely delicious, my boyf had the roast which was great and his mum had the Scampi which also was good. The waiting staff really let the experience down though. They seem to have one person who clears the plates, one to take the orders, etc... but they don't seem to be allowed to do each others jobs. We sat with other people empty glasses on the table for ages, we got our own menus, had to ask for cutlery once our food had arrived. I would definitely go back for the food & hopefully the service will be improved.

Bar food here is good, and just what you expect, but the place really is not fitted out for food, seating, tables and even the bar staff all go against what could have been a great meal. Good chef, but when the bar man clears your empty glass and wont take a dirty plate, sorry lads, it's not going to work.
