This restaurant is surprisingly good, the outside is very deceptive as inside the decor is beautiful. Food is excellent, I have eaten here twice now. Once for lunch- steak was great value at 10 euro and again for Sunday lunch. Each time the food was excellent but service is slow. I did not mind this for the lunch (the place was not busy but I wasn't in a rush) but the Sunday was very busy and very very slow- more staff needed. We had to ask continually for everything, menus, drinks, deserts...... I would not return on a Sunday but I would another time.

Have been here since they changed it to the restaurant in the function room, was recommended by a friend who thought it was great but wasn't too impressed with the food, nice atmosphere and great service so mayb it was just an off day in the kitchen.

I used to enjoy my reglaur trips to this pub for the service, friendly staff and the great value food. On my last trip though I could see things have changed. It is quite dirty but they are putting inprovements in with the toilets. The staff have changed for the worse, the usual friendly staff were not there and the new staff did not pay any attention to us. I found it very hard to order, let alone eat. The food is still excellent a little more pricey. Don't no why the service was so bad as it was mid week and not busy.

Toasties are ok big plate with chips but a toastie is a toastie anything else is a no go! Place not for kids during winter as they have big open fire spilling out onto floor no guards!! Place is dirty dirty!!!! A no go!!!!

If you like dark smelly building with dirty toilets this is the place for you. The food is on par with the service and general feel of the place.

Great location, bad idea. Katie’s needs a whole new look, as the inside is not v. Pretty! Had chicken Orlando & it was really tasty. If it were redecorated would prob enjoy it here.

Katie's is ok, the food is not spectacular but i don't think it deserves the awful reviews it's been getting. It's cheap and cheerful

Katie’s is fine if your looking for food quickly where you know you will not struggle to find a table and you do not plan to stay all night. Cheap food that doesn't pretend to be anything better.

Never again shall I allow myself to be drawn into this establishment by desperation the seductive smell of hot food. Let’s call a spade a spade, Katie Gallaghers is dirty. In my humble opinion a good indicator of overall professionalism and hygiene in any establishment are the public areas and the toilets. On witnessing these areas I’m horrified to think what happens in the kitchen. Let me just say, I wiped my feet leaving.
