Our experience could not have been more of a contrast to the only other review of this restaurant. Perhaps the reviewer got mixed up with the name of the restaurant and ate elsewhere. We went in on a busy Sunday in December without a booking and were treated royally. We have been to Portugal several times and the food in this restaurant was as good as we've had. Staff were great and there was a lovely buzz about the place. My 11 yr old who is a fussy eater had the piri piri chicken and loved it. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives in Enniscorthy and has eaten there on numerous occacasions with delight. Keep up the good work Galo.

Possibly the worst restaurant experience of either of our lives. VERY expensive slop! Food left ALOT to be desired. I was meant to have pork fillet, which I love and got god only knows what, possibly pork belly or something. My fellow diner wanted TBone steak and received fat riddled unidentifiable inedible slop also. It was a case of trying to hunt the meat from the fat. Most unenjoyable.

Since the last time I was there in 2008 the prices have been reduced dramatically. The food has always been nice and the reduction in price makes it a very good optuion now for lunch or dinner. I reccommend Jacks Baguette, filled with Piri piri chicken, bacon and cheese. The decor is very nice, its a real cosy rrestaurant which gives you the feeling of being out in aportugal. There are lovely spanish tiles and it is well decorated without being cheesy.

The worst food and service I have ever received, they got our order wrong and kicked up a fuss when we wanted to change it. I complained at the end of the meal and didnt want to pay full price for the incorrect items. When I complained it turned into a ten minuted heated argument with the manager and I was told not to ever come back! Not that I ever would!. My advice keep clear of it horrible food and disgusting service

The portions have gotten a lot smaller than the last time we were there. they offered mushrooms and onions with the steak as if it was included but then charged 3.50 for each. also they overcharged us on a mineral and when i said it he was not too pleased at me pointin tat out. i was always pleased with service and food but i think it has dissimproved a load other than tat the food is nice...... think they have to look into their portions and also prices for side orders which usually come as part of the meal oh yeah also we asked for an extra garlic dip which was the size of a 2 euro coin and they charged an extra 1.50 for tat very bad!!!!!!!!!

appalling service, the worst I have ever experienced, 1 hr 40 mins for starter, no apologies for poor service at any stage just that food on the way........manager should not be allowed near any customer service role absolutely disgraceful behaviour from them and food was not even worth the wait, heard this place was supposed to be nice, the experience was terrible never again.....

Food was good, nothing spectacular, the pasta is not great but the chicken dishes are very very good and the mash is very tasty. Service was quick and very nice people working there, would go back again.

We would have eaten here quite regularly in past really enjoying the atmosphere, food and service all being out on their own. But of late we find we go less and less. lately we have been finding that we're being rushed through our meal in order to get the table free to get somebody else in. There is very little time given between the courses.Also the food seems to be getting spicer & spicer The prices seem to be (as with everything else these days) increasing which coupled together with everything else makes us feel less like going. It seems as though the managment have built up a very sucessful & popular restaurant & lately seem to be sitting back and resting on their laurels & letting things slip a little

We regularly travel from Gorey to eat here. It's a wonderful place to spend an evening, the food is incredible, steak that melts in the mouth, the fish has so much flavour. They cook REALLY good food! The staff are great too, very attentive, friendly and polite (something unfortunatly is getting rarer these days !) Something else important is it's consistantly good, of all the times we've eaten here over the years we've never been disappointed. It's a lovely cozy place and thanks to the various nooks and crannys very intimate if it's a romantic meal for two, but for larger parties there is still plenty of room. Overall I can't recommend this little treasure enough, 5 stars all round. One of the best restaurants in Wexford, if not the southeast !
