My experience of this place is very different to what I would expect from the website. We only visited the cafe and gardens but were terribly disappointed. It's €7 each into the gardens which it appears the owners cannot afford to keep properly anymore. Lots of weeds and garden furniture in disrepair. Very sad as I visited in the past and they were better. Not value for money now at all. Cafe experience was also bad. Homemade cakes were nice enough but not at €5.75 a piece - €3.50 might still be over-priced. Hot chocolate was made from water only no froth or milk. There was a member of staff looking after cafe while we were there and while he was doing a great job, it's not the professional set up that the website would suggest. Atmosphere in the cafe is non-existent. It feels like the twilight zone. Looks like this place has seen better days, would be great to see it restored to former glory. It's a genuinely sad example of an country garden/cafe not getting it right - not good at all for wexford tourism. Perhaps someone had a better experience of dinner and staying overnight? I genuinely hope so. Spa looks very nice. How can they get the cafe and gardens so wrong at the moment?
