Richmond House never fails to impress. the food is amazing, the ambience is cosy and romantic and the service is fantastic. When you arrive you are brought to a lovely little sitting room where you can have a drink while you read the menu and place your order. When your food is nearly ready you are then escorted to your table. I always think this is a nice touch. Admittedly this restaurant is a bit pricey but if you get the early bird menu it is more affordable. It is a beautiful place for a special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary.

EXCELLENT. Been there a few times now. Never let you down. The food is fabulous. Atmosphere very good. Staff very friendly. bit pricey, but you don't mind if you get a good meal. Def going back again. Beautiful old house and the setting is just right.

Very, very good. Some of the best food in West Waterford. Ate there recently, mixed game starter very good (rabbit exceptional) and main course monkfish also excellent. Dessert very good too, choc. cake par excellence, others reported the cheese to be spot on, and wine (we ordered at one level over house wine) was good value. This is posh country house ambience at first, but very competent service staff make it feel friendly, and the food is an interesting mix of a "safe" description but good and not stodgy result. Well worth the drive, and the taxi home (unless you are staying in the house, have a designated driver, or are going back in a friends fishing lodge on the Blackwater - as I'd guess some of the guests were one my visit!)
