Had a meal there which was included with the accommodation. The menu was limited as I would expect in a small hotel. The meal was good and seasonal featuring game on both the starter and the main courses. The desert was adequate. The atmosphere was very pleasant with an open fire and good waiter service. I would recommend if staying at the hotel.

We ate here as part of a package, but it was fabulous food, goats cheese tart to start, roast sirloin for mains and just about managed a combo of ice cream and sorbet. The food and service were brilliant but the room was chilly. I thought the curtains should have been closed to help with that, but apart from that no complaints!

A group of us stayed in the hotel for a few days and part of the package included a dinner in the Rose room restaurant. As we had travelled long, (some of us from abroad) we decided to have the dinner on the first night of our stay. Initially the service was very friendly but it very soon became evident that there wasn't enough waiting staff on premises.Many of the waiters seemed like temps or summer workers - they were all friendly and helpful, but didn't have all the information at hand. Also despite numerous emails exchanged with the hotel prior to our arrival our booking & the fact that the meal was agreed as included in our hotel package was not on record, which caused additional confusion. The room was packed, noisy and stifling hot. After receiving the starter drinks and a complementary (very nice) small starter, we had to wait ages for our wine, then ages to order. Once the order was in the starters came relatively quick and were nice, but then we waited again nearly an hour for the mains. When they arrived, the fish had been sitting under the grill till it was almost rock hard and dry, and the lamb tasted of old socks, and was mostly left uneaten. The chicken breast and particularly the side of puy lentils was lovely though. We then waited again for half an eternity to order dessert and another for it to arrive. The staff were all the time very friendly and nice, but the service was just dead slow. In the end we had spent 3,5 hours sitting in the stifling hot room, some of us having travelled for 8 hours to get there. The overall feeling was that we were quite disappointed and really not impressed, having so looked forward to our dinner, especially having heard so many good things about the head chef. The restaurant offered us complimentary coffees and drinks to apologise and seemed truly sorry to have disappointed us, which redeemed them a little bit. Would not eat here again though.

We had dinner here as part of a package deal along with our stay at the hotel. I cannot fault the meal. The food was lovely. Although the menu was a little limited, with just one option of main course for the vegetearians! The staff were great, very efficient and friendly. I would highly recomend eating here.

This was part of a package weekend and we were pleasantly delighted with the food in Faithlegg. The choice was excellent. The vegetables were a little overcooked however. The "soupcon" of soup as a taster from the chef was a nice touch at the start of the meal. Steaks came cooked as ordered. Desserts were yummy - elegantly and innovatively presented and there is a good choice. Herb teas available but they had no peppermint tea - even a few mint leaves covered in boiling water would have been fine... but I settled for the Lemon Zest tea which was ok. There was a tour group in the restaurant at the same time but this did not impede on service to individual diners who were accommodated mainly in a separate area. We had a window table and it was a pleasant way to enjoy the summer evening . Service staff are very accommodating and attentive. Very good value as part of the package - perhaps a little pricey otherwise.

We stayed here for 1 night only, and had dinner in the Roseville. My Husband choice of meals were ok, but mine was very disappointing. I picked the salmon which was poached with veg, it looked horrible and had no taste it was swimming in a sauce. I only eat the salmon , dessert was an apple crumble also disappointing. I left the restaurant hungry, having been looking forward to a nice meal. Breakfast the next morning was really nice plenty of choice. The day before when we arrived at the hotel, we had lunch in the bar, a goat cheese sandwich which was cold in parts and warm in others, it was served with horrible fried potatoes, which we left, some salad would be much better. All in all the food were really very poor.
