The Gingerman is one of the best places for having lunch in Waterford. They have a brilliant menu, with all different kinds of things available that you are never stuck and they cater for all tastebuds. Every lunch I have gotten here was so tasty, and they give you such a generous portion that it is really worth the money! They have everthing from paninis and pasta, to steak ciabatta sandwiches and ribs and colcannon. On this occassion, I ordered the chicken panini with chips and my boyfriend ordered the beer batter cod. The chips were great in size and everything is presented well. The staff are one of the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, they are always smiling and are so attentive! You really cannot fault the service! So if you have never eaten here or are in WAterford for the day, I would really recommend it.

I was in for lunch on na saturday, clearly a busy day. The food was good, Id the club sandwich and, even though pricey at almost €8, it is good. The staff were busy, and therefore the service was maybe not excellent, but was quite good given the workload. Overall, definitely worth a look.

I eat lunch here every time I go to Waterford. It's location is perfect - right in the center. Perfect for lunch after some shopping. They do THE best club sambo, it's to die for. The portions are huge as well and very reasonably priced. All their food is good, i have yet to be disappointed in there!

Went there for lunch a couple of times, it's dead handy (middle of town). Am not usually crazy about a pub for lunch, I don't like the smell of old beer with my sandwich, but the food is good here - ordinary food, nothing crazy fancy, but tasty and fresh. Service was hit-and-miss (when it's good, it's v good, but when it's bad, it's rotton) the few times I was there. I would recommend though, especially for ordinary food like soup and sandwiches. Yum. It's hard to get a decent "ordinary" lunch these days (everything is gone very fancy) and the Gingerman does ordinary very well...

Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch not expecting much. Service was very speedy...food was lovely and the portions were big! My husband was defeated in the end by his steak and mushroom ciabatta and my toastie hit the spot! Would def recommend.. a hiddden gem :o)
