I came here with my boyfriend and his family to celebrate a 50th birthday. I cannot find much fault with this restaurant to be honest. The only downside is the empty seats downstairs and there is no one to great you when you walk through the door. However, this was short-lived as the atmosphere upstairs was vibrant and full of banter. There was a massive hen party the night we booked in (a Saturday night) and even then it wasn't too loud. We were offered the early bird menu....which was fantastic considering it was 9pm on a Saturday! My boyfriend and I got the platter for starters, which had a great variety and was something different then we'd usually get. I cannot remember the name of the main course, but it was along the lines of chilli beef with rice and it was divine! the rice was so soft and the taste was utterly beautiful. Someone at my table got the steak...and you would not be disappointed if you were to order it! I got a chocolate gateaux for dessert which was also very nice. The service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend dining here!

Stumbled across this lovely place while on a night out in Waterford. We were a little put off by all the empty tables downstairs but our dismay was short lived, the moment we got to the top of the stairs we were greeted with the lovely site of an open kitchen and the two asian chef's stir frying up a storm. The service was timely and friendly and the waitress recommended a very nice wine. Our starters were well presented but the star of the evening was the main course of miso and lime baked salmon. The fish melted in the mouth and the sauce was divine. Good value and we'll definitely be back to sample some more of the menu.

Went to this restaurant on a recent visit to Waterford. The lady who was serving us, and seemed to own the place, was very friendly and knowledgable about her wine. When we arrived we were told all starters and desserts were €5 and mains €12 although they were priced much more on the menu. I ordered the nasi goreng which was prepared by Asian chefs in the open kitchen. This was one of my favourite dishes when travelling in Asia and until I visited this restaurant all versions I had eaten in Ireland were terrible but Limeleaf was excellent. Portions were very generous and extremely good value for money.

Have had take away from here many times over the years, but since it changed name the standard of food has slightly decreased and the service has hit rock bottom. Prices havent really reflected the current climate and continues to be very expensive. Overall the food is of good quality and I do enjoy it, but the service is just not good enough. Countless times the order has been wrong or items completely left out. On my most recent visit the person serving kept making references to my card not working when I went to pay (which was not the case) and when I eventiually convinced him it was the machine at fault I was left waiting 20 mins holding my food whilst waiting to pay. Food was freezing my the time I got out and not so much as a apology for the inconvienece let alone a free bag of prawn crackers. Dont think I'd be returning in the near future as there are many alternatives in Waterford.

I visit limeleaf restaurant regularly for both family occasions and for meet ups with friends. The food is always excellent, the variety which is provided for the customer is vast, meaning i have huge choice and selection everytime i visit! My favourite food is seafood, so its great to say that the monkfish, prawn curries and both salmon dishes are absolutely delicious, ive never had a complaint!! The staff know me by first name and are always very welcoming, assertive, friendly and efficent. As someone who works in the hospitality area myself I always find the negative is too often remembered instead of the positive, so I always feel its important to give positive feedback. I recommend this restaurant highly and compliment all aspects both staff and kitchen! Thank you for always providing a thoroughly enjoyable meal!

They need to get their act together. I was not impressed and expected a lot better after reading previous reviews. It's more like an asian fast food restaurant and the open kitchen area does not do it for me. 3 Items I ordered were not available and each time I odered the waitress came back and told me the chef said there was none left. It is one of the most expensive Thai restaurants I have eaten in and expect a more professional service for the money. I have no problem with a dish being unavailable - however the staff should tell you this when giving you the menu. The same thing happened with the wine I ordered. When I got my bottle of red, I had to ask for it to be heated in warm water for a few minutes as it was ice cold. Again not good enough for the price being charged. My chicken satay was tough and chewey and definitely not cooked to order - disgraceful and there is no excuse for this. There was no sign of an owner or manager and nobody asked me if I enjoyed my meal. If they did I would have told them to get their act together if they want to justify the extreme prices. Not good enough.

EXCELLENT, excellent, excellent!! Visited here beford heading back to Gaway with my wife and was hugely impressed by the food, service and price of the Early Bird dinner. Its one of the few restaurants in Waterford City offering very good value for money and not the usual dumbed-down menu and cheap plonk at an unreasonable hour in the evenings. Well done and I will be back agian!!!

Limeleaf is the best Asian restaurant! The Atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are fantastic. The food is to die for. I love the Comboplatter starter. The Miso Salmon main course is the nicest Salmon I have ever tasted. I know! My partner is not a huge fan of Thai food, but after she has Thai green Prawns curry "Limeleaf" is one of her favourite restaurants now! Cannot wait to return again soon!!

What a restaurant! Its gets 5 stars for everything from me. Went here last Sat with 3 of my friends for the dinner special (€59 for 3 courses + tea/coffee & bottle of wine for two people). It was amazin! The restaurant is beautiful, the service excellent without feeling uncomfortable & the food....well divine! It was quite busy when we were there, which led to a nice atmosphere. Were going back very soon!!!!!!!

Wow!! My 1st time in the Limeleaf Restaurant was last Saturday night and I can't believe I haven't been going there all the time! I was happily greeted with a free cocktail!! It seems Saturday night is lady's night there!! I had the miso and lime baked salmon and it was amazing...so tasty! I can't wait to go again next Saturday night!

Nice food but poor value. Ate here with my wife this weekend. Chose the set menu as assumed it was cheaper than the a la carte. Food good overall. Wife loved hers. My starter was good but main very bland. Not spicy enough (was advertised as 'medium' hot). Disappointed with service too. Friendly enough but no jug of water offered and no-one checked during meal if everything was OK. We finished meal with an espresso and a green tea but were charged fully for these on top of the set menu price as only standard tea or coffee were included in the set menu... I think they were 40c dearer each... In hindsight I shouldn't have paid but I did and decided not to leave a tip instead. Worked out afterwards that the meal would have been cheaper than the set menu as as a la carte! This is a bit of a rip-off as most people will assume that the set menu will be a bit cheaper than a la carte.

Fabulous food. Thank you for a lovely evening. We were referred to this restaurant by the Tower Hotel (where we had a great stay) I had the salmon dish, it was sooo tasty, I think I will have to make a trip to Waterford again to satisfy my taste buds. My boyfriend had the usual steak which he declared as the best steak he has had in a while. The staff were very friendly and fun. Great value, the quality of food was superb, so fresh and tasty. I can’t wait to return to Waterford and to this restaurant!

fantastic food fantastic service fantastic atmosphere, fantastic value. Wow! best steaks in Waterford/South East. Cooked to perfection, one medium rare, one well done both served perfectly. Huge portions. Very friendly and good humoured staff, made our night out a night to remember. We will be back and we intend having my Dad's 80th birthday party there at the end of August. Cant wait.

Went with a group of friends for their new(Spring special) E59 menu for four courses for 2 people with a bottle of house wine. The food was lovely -great starter- Combo platter for 2 people with 5 different starters. Great choices on main course I had Green chicken curry, the flavour was superb. Desserts were very impressive, I had a georgous Sticky toffee pudding, hot, with icecream-yummy. Both the house red and white wines were excellent quality. One friend was offered a ceolic menu that she was allowed to adopt into their special spring menu. the staff were very helpful and friendly which made for a great night out. I will be back - the best value in Waterford.I

I really like the food here, although it's not all authentic asian cuisine. I guess the Thai chefs are catering to the masses. But the food is clean and fresh and tasty. The waitresses are quite haughty which bothers me as I was a waitress when I was younger and I never found it anything to be aloof about! It is quite good value for money though.

On the premises of the previous "Lemongrass" restaurant, this Limeleaf restaurant is excellent. Great starters and a very unusual varied menu designed to treat lovers of asian food. Tastes from Chinese, Japanese and Thai all fused excellently together. Very warm and inviting premises and friendly staff. Will be revisiting again.

Had dinner with a group, service was a bit slow, waiter/waitress could indeed smile a bit more but the food was lovely, cocktails served by very friendly staff member. Enjoyed it.
