La Boheme 5.0 star review: I am not usually one to write a review, but the night we had at La Boheme was so amazing I felt I had to comment. There were 4 of us and we were seated straight away in the centre of the main dining room, which has a wonderful atmosphere. Staff are extremely efficient without rushing around. Despite the restaurant being very busy, we were so well looked after. Now to the food....it was so good that the fact that the menu was only €35 was shocking (in a very good way!!) The Mise en Bouche was a nice little surprise at the start. My starter was a medley of haddock creme broulé, smoked salmon and a fish mousse. Beautifully presented and extremely tasty. I had the Irish rib eye for my main, which was perfectly cooked and again, the presentation was lovely. By the time desert came around, i was so stuffed, but I had to try something because everything else had been so wonderful - I can't remember what it was called, but it was a type of apple cake. I couldn't finish it but that is no reflection on the food. A little plate of petit fours was put on our table with our tea and coffee, but despite how lovely they looked, I just wasn't able. Wine included, we paid €15 more per head for the meal than we had done for a very lacklustre menu the evening before. I would nearly drive to Waterford just to eat here again!!!

La Boheme 5.0 star review: excellent as always --- the €35 menu is a steal - dinner for 2 - bottle of wine and a tip for €100 in a restaurant of this caliber is excellent!

La Boheme 5.0 star review: Wow! What a treat! Absolutely fantastic food & service; you really must eat here if you're in Waterford. The Market Menu at €35 per person consists of ingredients that are sourced locally as much as possible, it offers plenty of choice, covering game, meat, fish and vegetable options. From the decor, to the music, to the menu, to the staff, to the quality of the food, to the presentation of the dishes, EVERYTHING in this restaurant is wonderful and utterly deserving your attendance.

La Boheme 3.0 star review: We visited La Boheme on our trip to Waterford recently. The atmosphere is cool and calm and well, posh. Perhaps it was a tiny bit too dark in the restaurant. Service was courteous and polite and timely. Everything arrived punctually and the food was very good. I had the chicken which was very good and tasty, but I would not excellent. My friend's seabass was very lovely indeed. My final impression was that it is a nice, bit more upmarket sort of place to eat and all in all everything was very good and nice, and flawless execution of the service and the food, could not complain about anything. Perhaps it wasn't however exceptionally memorable or quite the value for money considering the mains in particular were on the dear side. Recommend it warmly though and it is a lovely surrounding if you have a special occasion.

La Boheme 5.0 star review: I recently celebrated my birthday in La Boheme Restaurant with a group of my friends. I was a bit nervous about my foody Dublin friends who eat out in all the top-class restaurants every weekend but La Boheme Restaurant FAR surpassed my expectations. Having a vegetarian and coeliac in my party made things even more difficult but I needn't have worried for La Boheme catered to everyones needs flawlessly. From the moment we stepped in the door the service, the food, the ambiance and surprise, surprise the LIVE jazz made the whole experience unforgettable. Wish I could do it all over again. I recommend this place to anyone wishing to celebrate a special event or just looking for an evening meal. (The price was nice on my pocket too!!)

La Boheme 4.0 star review: We went for the 35euro menu. We were given a creamy spinach puree for our mis bouche - just ok. I had the 'trilogy' for starter - which consisted of cauliflower puree, a slice of serrano-type ham, and a fillet of wood pigeon. The wood pigeon was divine, really, I've never tasted pigeon before - it was so delicious. The other items (cauliflower dish and ham) I wasn't really keen on. My friend's crab brulee starter was very tasty. For mains I had the confit of duck - it was probably the best duck I've ever had. It just fell off the bone and the sauce and red cabbage were delicious. My friend had the pheasant which he really liked. The veggies that came on the side were scrumptious. For desert my coconut bun with vanilla ice-cream was quite nice. My friend's creme brulee was very good. The place itself is lovely and service is excellent. Yes it is pricier than a lot of places, but it's great for a special treat.

La Boheme 4.5 star review: Ate here on a Friday evening with some friends, from the minute you walk in you are looked after the staff were very efficient without being obtrusive, the food was delicious, we all had the goats cheese and fig starter, two had steak and I had guinea fowl which was served with a delicious sauce. The dessert of pineapple was light and wonderfully presented. Most of the tables were full and although we booked early we were not hurried for another sittin, the €35 menu is very good value I felt. If I had to pick a fault it would be the draughts although as it is a cellar in an old house it's perhaps not unexpected.
