Great food. Resturant food in a pub. 3 of us ordered food at food finish time of 9pm on a Friday night and staff were delighted to take order. Can get a little crowded at times so may not always get seated for food.

Good caesar salad, which is a great test of a restaurant. Key things to get right are - shaved, not grated parmesan. Romaine, not any other kind of lettuce. Homemade garlicy croutons, plenty of dressing and all leaves well dressed. NO CHICKEN. All very satisfactory in Geoffs. Followed by good coffee. Great, and reliable, spot. Recommended.

Having eaten lunch with a group of 28 others between 1 & 2pm & a number staying on for drinks. The manager was very unappreciative of our customer when at about 4,30 he asked if we would like to reserve a table for the evening. When questioned why he was very unresponsive & actually rude. Having been ther efor a number of work functions I will not go there again & would advise others similarly. Customer service does not enter their "work ethic"

Great atmosphere here. The dessert selection is wonderful and the wines are well priced. I had the chicken in white wine sauce with pasta. The taste was lovely but my only complaint would be the quality of the chicken. I think it could be improved. They do very nice paninis too. Great place for a bite to eat!

I love Geoffs, Its a Waterford institution - However i think the Kitchen Really lets it down lately! The last 3 times ive been in for some food ive been bitterly disappointed! on 3 different occasions i've been served up bland, tasteless and very unappealing food. Which on all 3 times had cost me over 10e each dish! Now, Geoffs is know for its' Were always the Same' Attitude, which i think also applies to the staff. They are Great at pulling pints and Serving me my Delicious beverage, but they just seem to be not interested when it comes to the food end of things. Hopefully someone will Read this honest Review and perhaps make some well needed Changes to the kitchen/Menu! But for now, ill just be sticking to my Pint please!

Geoffs is not only my favourite bar in Waterford, but also one of my favourite places for a casual lunch/ dinner with friends. The cous cous with Veg is a delicious vegetarian alternative, and the burgers are fantastic. I was reading previous reviews and there was one comment which I have to agree with. I can be a bit boring with my menu choices (when I go out to the same place for dinner), choosing my favourite thing on each visit, but I have found that sometimes they can be a little inconsistent. The only explanation I think is that perhaps a different chef is cooking the same item on the menu. It's only happened once or twice, where what I've ordered isn't as nicely cooked as the previous visit, but these things happen. They also serve the most gorgeous soda bread with their soup and a few starters/ mains. My only criticism is that they don't serve food on Sundays...but everyone needs a day off I suppose.

I go here very often for a chilled out bite to eat. It's the only place in waterford that offers good quality and a variety of cultural cooking at reasonable prices. It's simple food done brilliantly. Not just your fun of the mill soup and sambo. It can sometimes be a little inconsistent though. But the fresh ingredients and cheerful atmosphere always out weigh. Highly recommended for great lunch or casual dinner.

Amazing food for lunch, amazing value. We had the garlic bread - 4 slices of bread with garlic butter, pesto, parmesan, and a side salad - for €4...and the smoked mackeral pate (same thing, with pate this time and another side salad). Seriously yummy and really good value. Recommended. The staff are still up-their-bum cool, and the service is still hit-and-miss, but this place just works.

I've eaten here on several occasions & must say their homemade potato skins are yummy. Pub may seem slightly grungy/alternative but comfortable. & definately a waterford hotspot....nice friendly & lively atmosphere, extensive menu for pub grub! In the city centre....a definate must!!

I've eaten here maybe 4 or 5 times and the place is so cool and relaxed it makes you want to kick off your shoes and chill out. It's an old pub and may be seen as sort of grungy by some people but I love that. It's clean and the food is so delicious. I'm surprised to see that some reviewers weren't happy with the service. I never had a problem with it personally, myself and my fellow diners were always fussed over and menu items changed around if necessary, eg if I wanted a main course size portion of a starter listed on the menu. I can't complain about any aspect of my visits there.
