Still as good as ever. Excellent top quality food, really tender meat and outstanding flavour. The service is really good with friendly attentive staff. It's easy to see why it is usually busy here. And it happens to be good value too!

We were very disappointed with this restaurant because after we read the reviews we thought is was going to be fab. This restaurant is TINY, there is no atmosphere, no comfort and you cannot have a conversation without someone else over hearing. The poppadoms and dip were very tasty, we both ordered only mains with rice and naan and this was very tasty also. My plate was not clean and the cutlery was the same. The restaurant wasn't very clean looking either and to be honest the service could most definately improve. All in all the food was good but not much else, we wouldn't go again.

we eat fairly regularlyat this restuarant. the food is suplime. The service is excellent. the owner really makes you feel at home.If you have any quieries bout the food he will happily explain the dishes. Sometimes he will offer extra coffee or wine after you,ve paid the bill. One of my favourite restaurants.

We got takeaway here although we collected it and the restaurant looked really nicely presented when we went in to collect. Lots of crisp white tablecloths and friendly staff. The food is great. The chicken tika was the best I've ever tried and the lamb masala was beautifully flavoured and the lamb was really tender. We also had the vegetable biranyi, another hit. We asked for everything mild and they were, nothing was too hot. They were also giving a free bottle of Cobra beer with takeaway orders which was a nice surprise.

Haven't spent much time in Waterford, this place was right next to the hotel we were staying at so we popped in as the menu in the hotel was not overly appealing. How glad I was that we did! You can tell a lot about an Indian place by the standard of the dips they serve with their poppadoms and Cafe Goa's dips promised great things to come thankfully! I had the lamb chilli masala - the lamb was cooked to perfection, practically melted on my tongue and the sauce was spicy enough to cause my eyes to water at the first bite but it was worth it and seemed to cool down the more I had. The accompanying naan bread and rice were also perfectly cooked and fresh. My friend tried the Goa Special - any dish that comes to the table on a hot plate still sizzling is a winner in my opinion but the meat and veg on the hot plate were also delicious. When silence falls as soon as the food arrives, you can usually tell that it's worth it. Great value for money; the service was very efficient although not overly friendly. Looking forward to trying something else on the menu next time I'm there!

Had dinner on Saturday evening here, the restaurant was extremely busy with hardly a table free. Had to wait 15-20 mins for a table. The food is simply fabulous, great Balti Chicken and Goa Karahi Curry. Best Indian curries that I have ever tested. Food was not spicy at all but quite tasty. Superb Naan breads as well. Good value for money

I just adore this restaurant and travel regularly from Wicklow to eat there. the atmosphere is brilliant, a real buzz, not like a traditional Indian at all. The food is really good, some of the best I have tasted anywhere. the vegetarian options are amazing and anyone who has come there with me has always vowed to return...the Chilli and Coriander Nan, with the Chicken Jalfrezi and a starter of Boti Kebab or Chicken Pakora is my Fave! The only downside is, i suppose, as a victim of their own success, you feel you need to eat up and go as there is usually someone waiting for your table, especially on a Saturday night!

Wow what a Gem... We started going to Goa since Sept 08 and all I can say is fab.. All staff remember us on each visit. We have been given free deserts.. Also on on occasion recently we changed our usual brand of wine to the dismay of the staff. They quickly replaced our 2nd empty bottle with our favourite.house white. ( Free of charge ). We also went on Valentines night and ate the most gorgeous Korma. As a fussy eater, I find it difficult to find somewhere to suit my taste but Goa is superb.. tasty filling and glorious food. The staff are extremely friendly and would be quite upset if you were not satisfied. There is nothing bad I can say about Gao. The food is gorgeous, service is efficient and definitely value for money. They definitely value their costumers. Thanks.

To begin I will say that I am not usually a lover of indian food but this has changed my mind. Everything in this restaurant was fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal from start to finish and was very impressed with my bill at the end. As a party of 4 its usually very hard to please everyone but they managed it flawlessly. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Located centrally in Waterford this restaurant has really good food but on my visit was let down by music which was varying between too loud and very low. Service was ok but the waiter would only talk to me (male) but refused to make any eye contact with the lady at my table. Probably would not visit again - felt a bit rushed.

Went there today for an early bird dinner. Restaurant was empty when I came in but was told that I had to vacant the table within 40 minutes. Didn't even look at the menu but asked if the paneer was made on the premises. Waiter had to ask but it seemed that it was made at the restaurant. So I ordered Matar Paneer and naan bread. I wasn't asked if I wanted rice with the dish and I wasn't offered any water or was even asked if I wanted wine with the meal. The staff was very in-experienced but friendly but I was feeling watched rather than looked after. I asked for the bill bang on time but the restaurant was still half empty when I left. The owner seems to have the ambition to offer fine Indian dining.....but he is far light years away from it. Will I go again.....NOPE

I was there on Wednesday with my brother for a late lunch. I was very impressed with the atmosphere. The seating arrangements were very comfortable. The food was gorgeous and my brother being a coffee lover said he never tasted a nicer cappacino. Was not charged for glass of wine with meal either. The value and quality excellent and staff very friendly. highly recommended
