5.0When I come to Dunmore East the Haven Hotel is always a great choice for lunch. Especially when we bring the kids. They have wonderful bay windows with envious seaviews and the best roast beef you will find in the sunny south east!Always enjoy their surroundings including the quirky family that run it all adds to the atmosphere of this place. Yesterdays lunch with our twin girls was most enjoyable as always.

3.0There is a strange shambolic beauty about this place, more of a Walter Matthau than a Brad Pitt. The place looks like it could do with a good old refurb but its also a really family friendly place with a terrific games room and a kids playground to the back. The restaurant is nice and airy with seaviews. Kids menu is good. The adult menu, like everywhere in Dunmore East, is way over-priced. I had a vegetarian curry, which was nice but way overpriced at 14 euro. We ended up in the Haven for drinks with out kids and their friends every night of our Dunmore East holiday last year and I would think this year is going to be no exception.

4.0Great fun, rambly and slightly ramshackle, ideal for a long lunch with kids, papers and no deadlines. Food is nothing to write home about (ribs, pasta, steak, chicken, no surprises of any kind), but the place is well worth the effort for a visit.
