4.0Stopped off with the family for sunday lunch, the place was very busy but moving very smoothly.
Carvery was well run and good choice, the salmon was well cooked along with the turkey & ham option. Kids had the southern fried option was good. would like to point out the carrots were soaked in butter... Dessert options good.
We will go back

1.5The service is incredibly slow. They forgot my order, so it only arrive when the other four people had finished their food. I had tried to get someone's attention to point this out earlier but couldn't get anyone. A previously visit the chicken curry was incredibly dry. This time the chicken curry was swimming in a watery sauce. For the simple food they're serving it's incredibly overpriced. You can get better food elsewhere in town for much less!

5.0I have stayed here for a weekend and found the hotel lovely. Also popped in for carvery twice. Liked it immensely food of good quality and quantity. however feel the area where you pay is poor. desserts were not wildly enticing but dinners so big dessert is not really an issue. Well priced for the style and ambience. Would recommend

3.5Have been here twice & the food was lovely, the seating areas are gorgeous & really comfortable. The seating/bar area itself though is lacking something I don't know what.I think the atmosphere could be better.
Would go back though.

3.0The service and location was very good and the restaurant itself was very nice. The food was quite good but was really let down by the eerie-ness from the room. There was absolutely zero atmosphere and there was very few in the room. Hence it got awkward on a few occasions when the waiters had to walk across the big room to see if we were finished our meal. It took away from the good food and nice staff.

3.0I understand there is an al la cart evening restaurant in the hotel but I haven't eaten there. This review is about the carvery lunch in their bar.
As carvery lunches go it's fine. You're not going to get fine dining but you will get food that fills the gap. Also as well as doing typical plain tasteless pub grub they do tend to have the odd curry or Indian dish which is properly spiced and not over cooked as many carveries will do. At €11 per head it is good value for Sunday Lunch.

5.0Very good menu. Nice wine selection. Starters and desserts are masterpieces. They make a great cappuccino too.
The steak is actually cooked to American liking.
Try a margharita from the bar, you will certainly want to have more than 1.
